An exotic neighborhood escape with globetrotting cuisine, tropical cocktails, bohemian interiors, and a great place to watch sports in Chicago’s West Town.

Named after the Bohemian freethinkers of the 1950s and ’60s, Beatnik West Town channels the Beatnik generation’s sense of style, aspiration, and rebellion to create an exotic escape with maximalist interiors and lush gardens.

Mirroring our design-through-storytelling whimsy, Beatnik’s culinary team takes guests on a globetrotting journey that starts in the Eastern Mediterranean, moves westward across Northern Africa and finishes across the Atlantic with the flavors of Mexico.

Beatnik’s beverage team makes tropical cocktails that are savory and fresh, with inventive recipes that follow a no-waste sensibility. Our wine list is a compact attaché that contains the story of winemakers who make wine in lesser-known regions of the Mediterranean and the Americas.

Excellent food, ok service, ridiculously loud music for 11:00am on a Sunday. Asked them to turn it down but it's part of their "Sunday brunch experience"...so expect to have to yell at each other to have a nice Sunday morning brunch

Beautiful interior, really nice for a date night or a large group. Seafood dishes were lovely. Would steer clear of the queso fundido — it’s impossible to get out of the skillet so you end up fighting with half melted cheese.

It’s a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance that is inexplicably disrupted by three gigantic tvs over the bar…really ruins the feel of the front part of the restaurant. Food was fantastic. The bathrooms are disgusting.

We loved it, the burger is amazing. Both of our kids enjoyed it love the baba ghanoush and the ambience is just beyond.

Came for restaurant week brunch and there were few but wonderful options. Got the falafel, waffle, granola, chicken and burger and everything was great. Somehow the chicken stayed crispy under the gravy. The only thing is that the gravy could have used a little more salt, but it’s better to be under salted than over salted. Beautiful space also.

Expensive for what was served. Very loud. Could not hear people talking unless you were sitting next to them. Meal came out of kitchen in that half the table was served and 15 minutes later the other half was served. Had an ice tea and never got a refill. Overall, we won’t be back. Too many other places in the city that offers a better meal for the price,better service, and left hungry. So disappointed.

Such a beautiful restaurant and the service was great! However, most of the food was lacking (somewhat bland) which was disappointing because I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. Drinks were awesome though! I would definitely go back for that and the ambiance

Food wasn’t as good as I remember from previous occasions. Portions were larger but not as good. Prices very high.
