Had the meatloaf with chorizo and it was delicious! It’s a favorite of ours so it keeps us coming back. Food was hot, tasty with great presentation.

The cornbread used to come in a cast iron skillet and now comes in tiny muffins. The chambord margaritas are weak. The ambience is now more Dennys than an evening out. The food was good. Service was slow.

It was fairly quiet on a Sunday evening. We were a little concerned as service seemed very slowly when we first got there but they stayed there was a private party and they were understaffed. After the party left there were no issues. Our server was amazing! Gave great suggestions on food and drinks. The food was amazing, beyond delicious and with the restaurant week deals it was a great value! Will definitely return

The various entres were ok but had too much creama and/or pico. Restaurant needs to invest in higher quality ingredients for their mimosas. A beverage needs to be included in their buffet offering. Excellent seating and volume of music. Very clean. NOTE: We have patronized this establishment for over 20 years.

We decided to have dinner at Z’Tejas bc of their restaurant week special. One would think, that if management is participating in this program to encourage customers to come out and try their restaurant that they would offer superior food and service. I was disappointed bc the appetizer was not what I had had years ago when I was last in. They also offered a bread pudding that was very bland so I simply asked our waitress if she could see if she could have the cook just put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it to give it some taste. It was no I can’t do that! I couldn’t believe it! How much could a tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream cost?! Especially bs sending the whole dessert back. What a disappointment!! That probably explains why they had very little business on a Saturday evening during prime time dining.

Such an incredible disappointment from the Z Tejas from years ago. The inside of the restaurant has been remodeled to look like a school cafeteria. Nothing special about it. The food was not even mediocre. The drinks that I remember not great. So disappointed.

The menu is still fabulous! Happy about that. Salmon is great, mushroom enchies fabulous. Was only disappointed by the lack of beers on tap - Nothing but Mexican beers. Not all AZ people drink Mexican beer all the time. Please increase your selections with locale breweries. The new dining chairs are too short for long legged ppl. Otherwise - nice upgrades.

Service was excellent. Too noisy for me to talk to my wife across the table. She got the Chicken Artichoke Stacker and liked it. I asked for the Fried Snapper but substituted fries for the rice. The fish was awful, but the fries were fantastic. Asked for the same dish as my wife and it was good but not great. I expected better.

Take a sweater if you go there, the air conditioning was so cold that it made the dining experience uncomfortable. Also, not sure if tuna is generally a 'tougher' meat, I was really looking forward to the Voodoo tuna for my birthday and one piece was tough - the other piece of tuna seemed okay. It had been ages since we've been to this location and I don't think it will be someplace will go back to anytime soon. For a birthday dinner it was a bit disappointing.

We regularly come back for the delicious barbacoa beef street tacos. Everyone in our party of four was pleased with their dinner choice. Delicious food! Our waiter was friendly and efficient and we were warmly met at the door by the hostess.
