Zoubi restaurant is New Hope's hidden gem. Tucked away on Mechanic Street, Zoubi serves American Cuisine with a European touch prepared by Chef Francisco Barrios. We serve Dinner Wednesday through Sunday with indoor and outdoor seating available.

This is always a special place for dinner. Food fabulous and the ambiance is the best. A bit pricey so just something special.

Our first visit to Zoubi that will not be our last. Charming, cozy setting with great outdoor and indoor seating. The food and service were outstanding. We ordered the lamb that was listed on the menu as Herb Crusted Lollypops of Lamb that looked a little pricey for that kind of lamb. When it arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a full rack of lamb that was perfectly prepared with a wine reduction including a marvelous 15 layer potato side. Our waitress Alexis was wonderfully friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. This is a new Jem of a restaurant dining experience for visitors to New Hope.

We came here on a Sunday for dinner. The place is very nice inside. Our server, Jessica, seemed to be very nice. We ordered cocktails (an old fashioned and blackberry smash) and both were very good. For food we ordered the tuna poke bowl to start. It was a generous portion, but very spicy hot. It was good, but Nektar across the street has a better poke bowl. Jessica was nice enough to let us try 2 Chardonnay samples. We chose one and ordered a bottle. We waited a while only to be told that there wasn’t a bottle in stock. We ordered a bottle of the other wine we sampled. We waited so long. I think Jessica forgot about us. We started to look for someone to help. Luckily Alex saw us and we explained that we were waiting forever on our wine. She came back immediately with our wine. For entrees I had the swordfish and my husband got the bass. He loved his dish. My swordfish was room temperature. It didn’t flake when forked. It kind of turned a little mushy. I was less than pleased. We decided to skip dessert and asked for the check. We were given the check and put our credit card on the table. We called our Uber. Again we waited forever for someone to run our card. Alex to the rescue once again. If you look at their website and think you will get the short rib & scallop dish or the shrimp, octopus and grit dish - forget about it. They are both off the menu. The prices were crazy high. $69 (or $79, I can’t remember) for a steak, $65 for a crab cake, $46 for the bass, $37 for swordfish, $22 for the tuna poke.

Zoubi remains one of the best places to dine in New Hope. Everything was perfection. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the cocktails were wonderful, and the food was not only delicious, but beautiful. Highly recommend.

Our second time at Zoubi. I love the rustic European feeling. Our meal was outstanding. Manhattan, oysters. My wife had a crusted Tuna. I opted for lobster risotto, mushrooms, corn, peas and a delicious sauce. We shared one of the best key lime pies (a favorite). Service was excellent. But parking we were in town for the Playhouse. Found street parking but the payment at the kiosk was a trying experience. Directions are awful. Businesses should force the borough to change the system.

Apparently there was an unfortunate death in the family of the chef. My sincerest prayers go out to him. We were not informed of this prior to our reservation, and took an Uber to the restaurant only to see a sign posted to their door saying that they were closed. We then had to take an Uber back home. Someone should have alerted me before time that they were not open. Is there not a general manager?

Disappointed. Food was cold and didn’t get it back till the other 2 people in my party finished eating. Porch area has booth seating. Looks like a diner. Felt like a busy restaurant without the charm we were so used too. Very sad it has changed..
