Détenu et exploité par l'équipe de la famille des restaurants acclamés River House et Tarpon Bend, YOLO (You Only Live Once) est nouveau lounge restaurant américain contemporain. YOLO propose aux gourmets et aux oiseaux de nuit la combinaison exceptionnelle d'une excellente restauration et de boissons rafraîchissantes dans un espace élégant sans prétention. Le menu trompeusement simple se compose d'une gamme éclectique de plats conçus pour plaire à tous les palais, dont un grand nombre sont préparés sur le grill à bois théâtral du restaurant. Vous pourrez savourer un repas en plein air sur la terrasse du jardin luxuriant dotée d'un bar de plain-pied idéal pour voir du monde, dans la salle à manger confortable avec sa cuisine ouverte animée, ou souper en dégustant de petites assiettes dans le lounge éclairé aux chandelles. Les points forts du menu comportent des entrées comme les moules méditerranéennes sauvages ou les calmars croustillants à l'asiatique, ainsi que des plats principaux tels que le saumon rôti, les côtelettes de porc glacées au Bourbon et le bœuf saisi aller-retour. Server was nice. Took forever to get check and dessert to go. Very loud atmosphere, can’t hear one another speak. Food was okay, not great. Octopus was served interesting though: and probably the best we ate. Broccolini was undercooked so were truffle fries. Hungry so ate them anyway who took a really long time to get to T-ball. The restaurant didn’t seem busy but maybe the kitchen was understaff not really sure otherwise not a very family friendly place. I guess I would go if you were just wanting to go for cocktails and light bites but otherwise. Hard pass

Respectfully, I think this place is a little overrated. This was our first time going. The price that you’re paying for food and the quality that was provided honestly, we looked at the check and we went to a Michelin star restaurant in Miami (Cote) for the same price and got better quality food service. The drinks were probably the thing we both had the biggest problem with. They tasted very water down (we had the rum drink and “Butterfly Kisses” a tequila drink) so me and my partner decided we would just order whiskey drinks and even then my whiskey sour that I ordered tasted watered down (obviously I don’t think a restaurant would be putting water in their mixed drinks like that, but I’m just expressing what it tasted like). I don’t think the food is incredibly creative I even tried my partners Wagyu steak, and I think for the price point and the way it was cooked (I will say it was cooked medium to order so that’s good) however the outside was burnt, but for almost $100.00 just for the stake alone and not including the sides, we won’t be coming back again. The service from our weigher was was okay so I feel really bad, but when the steak came out, we didn’t get steak knives until we asked for them, we had to ask people to take away our other dishes from the table when we were eating the appetizers after the main courses came out. The food for us and the type of hype that is around this restaurant after eating eating here didn’t really make much sense. If we are paying a $320.00 food bill (not including the tip we added), I know how far that money can go at other restaurants in both Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, and I know what quality/ attentiveness other restaurants are able to provide us at that same price point.

Was excited about trying yolo on visit to Ft. Lauderdale. Food was mediocre. Drinks were good.

One dish was prepared wrong. Waiter and other person admitted as such. Uneatable. Dry fish is not good. Salad included cilantro, which we both dislike immensely. Not listed as ingredient on the menu. Waiter was quite good to begin with. After food was delivered he never checked and disappeared. Not a good night. Restaurant comped our Booz charges. I would have rather had a good meal. Not going back.

Service was good, ambience good, quality of food good. Kitchen needs improvement though in terms of timing and getting it right the first time..

The food was amazing as always. The service was not. The restaurant was very busy as expected on a Saturday evening. We were promptly seated. It took a lil bit for our server to come over. She served us water a few minutes later and took our drink order. Neither of us drink alcohol so normally the drinks come fairly quickly. We ordered our food which came at a normally expedited time. The food was brought by someone besides our waitress. That was appetizers and main course. We still had not received our drinks when our main course arrived and our waters were empty. We never saw our waitress again until my girlfriend grabbed her attention rushing by. By that time we had finished our entire meals. At that time we again asked for drinks. They finally arrived. We decided our server was too busy and decided not to stay for desert. After approximately 15 more minutes of no seeing our server we left the table. I found her in the crowd and asked for our check. We paid her right on the spot afraid she would disappear again. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. The service not so much. We will definitely return again but be sure to avoid this particular server.

Yolo has become more of a bar scene, less of a restaurant on the weekends. Typical SoFlo affected crowd, and service staff with little EQ. Food was slow and had obviously sat under the warming lights long enough to begin drying out. But hey, why worry about quality and good reviews when there is a line of recent European and LatAm transplants waiting to hand you cash.
