Whether a fresh made omelet, or pasta prepared in a giant wheel of parmesan is your perfect complement to brunch you can be sure that all of your old favorites, and a few soon to be new favorites, await you at the Wilfrid’s weekends from 11:30am-1:30pm adults $69, children $34.50. Please note that there is no self-parking available on site. Payment is due at the restaurant.

We arrived at the restaurant for the morning buffet. Unfortunately, contrary to previous visits, the food was cold and not being replenished. Admittedly, we arrived during the last hour of breakfast - however, for the price, hot and replenished food seems a reasonable expectation.

Wilfrid's is a lovely restaurant. But what took away from our enjoyment of the place was the near constant stream of very casually dressed people, many with children, coming into to the center of the restaurant from the Terrace restaurant searching for a bathroom. Doors would automatically open and close continuously, people would wander looking for the bathroom. It was very distracting, but also weirdly funny, as they had no idea where to go. There has to be a better way for La Terrasse patrons to access facilities. Additionally, my husband ordered the seafood pot a feu, which was filled with wonderful seafood and had a tasty broth. But it was not accompanied by any bread to dunk in the sauce. We asked for some bread and were brought 2 pieces of undercooked focaccia, with some butter & salt. We found out later when we got the bill that this bread cost us $16CAD. Not good.

The manager Ms Swann and the server Chantal were both lovely. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing and the cups came out with grease or mold or something black and sticky and smelly. The manager offered a complimentary drink and appy on the terrace, but I guess the serve didn’t know so we ended up being charged for part. Also, we are queer and I will say it was not the best experience as a queer couple. I normally love the fairmont, but would not recommend this one

We ordered steak tartare, cheese plate, lyonnaise salad and chicken sandwich. They were all very good. The salad had too much vinegar and was a bit hard to finish. My only issue was the limited choice on menu. I was hoping for a bit more of an elevated dining experience.

We were looking forward to a Sunday Brunch in an iconic hotel but were very disappointed. The buffet was underwhelming. The Eggs Hollandaise were undercooked. The omelette that was made to order was fine but I had to wait almost 10 minutes as the chef was busy. The buffet had a poor selection and some items looked as if they had been out for a while. The smoked salmon was good but there were no bagels out although the waiter did find some on request. We will not be returning.

We were looking for a nice place for brunch. This place was just OK - not great, not really bad. It was like a typical breakfast buffet at any decent hotel - nothing special in terms of ambiance, food or service.

We have been to Wildrid's many times and it's lovely. It is our impression of the Château, generally, that it is struggling a bit since Covid, that some of the sparkle was lost over the last years. Having said that, we still love going and still feel like it's a treat. And the service - in all aspects of the restaurant and beyond - has been incredible.
