We went to Wildfire at Oakbrook on a Saturday night. The restaurant was completely packed and they were using overflow rooms to handle seating for all the patrons. It was clear that the kitchen simply couldn't handle the number of orders that were coming in. I ordered filet mignon (which is a beautiful cut that requires careful cooking) at Medium. It was served totally charred and burned on one end. I also ordered as a side the broccoli with lemon, which should have been cooked but wasn't - it was served hard and inedible. This was our first and last experience of Wildfire, we won't be going back and wasting our money on an expensive meal that doesn't live up to the cost.

Sat outside. It was a very nice evening. Only problem was the shopping center music contrasting with the restaurant music(which was better)

I wrote a review back in March and was called by a manager to discuss. This is our second time coming back since my “not so great review” about our service and sadly, last night, we had the same waiter I discussed with the manager when we spoke back on March. Clearly nothing has changed. The service that I discussed with the manager, as being sub par, inattentive and quite honestly lazy… was the same experience last night. Our server still had a mask on, making it hard to understand and hear, especially given how loud and crowded it was. Again, our salad was dropped off, not served to us as all other Wildfire servers always do for us. Our drinks were not replenished without asking several times, but keep in mind… there was a long wait in between as our server appeared to stop checking on us. Thankfully we had bussers who came by to wrap our leftovers. We sat for at least 15 min with empty water glasses. The whole experience, again, was just mediocre. For an almost $450 meal AGAIN… this is truly disappointing!

We have always enjoyed the food at Wildfire, which is why we decided to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary there. The food was excellent as always and the service was spot on as well. The only complaint I have is the following. We were seated in an area of the restaurant that was like sitting in a meat locker (Table 17) at 6:20pm. It was cold and uncomfortable for both my wife and me. It kind of spoiled the whole evening. It would have been an awesome experience had we been seated in a warmer area of the restaurant. I overheard some of the staff complaining about the cold temperature in the area as well. At first, I thought it was only me feeling that way, but they confirmed my suspicions. Next time that happens I will be asking to be seated elsewhere in the restaurant or just leave if they cannot accommodate my request. For the prices they charge you would think they could turn on the heat when its colder outside. Felt like the air conditioner was turned on. Or they could have warned us to bring a coat. We never requested outdoor seating. Would have given them 5 stars if the heat was on.

The halibut special was delicious! So much flavor with the lemony sauce! The mashed potatoes and au gratin potatoes were equally good choices. My sons were very happy with their filet medallions and scallops. The food really is flavorful here! We shared the berry crisp for dessert. It was a terrific meal! Server was knowledgeable and friendly.
