We had a very uncomfortable dining experience. The restaurant was very warm, most of our party of 8 were sweating. Our waitress was good and very nice, but appeared to be the only server for all of the tables. As such, Service was slow. We waited a very long time for our entrées. Some of the food was good. However, my husband could not eat his lamb chops, he said they were too fatty. I did not enjoy the peach salad. The peaches were hard and the salad dressing did not taste good. On a positive note, my friend said her tomato salad was delicious and thought her lamb chops were very good. Overall, it was a not an enjoyable experience.

Elegant setting in a historic hotel with a menu that oozes creativity. However, at least last night execution was off as two of our three dinners came out cold and had to be sent back. This is inexcusable in a high end restaurant. Our waitress was quite embarrassed but obviously it was a failure of the back of the house.

Always a pleasant and romantic evening at this beautiful Victorian style home/restaurant. Food is always very tasty, and the service is extremely attentive.

Whispers has been our long time favorite, frequent dining establishment. It is a BYOB; however their prices have escalated to the tune of dinner for 2 is about $250+. The food is excellent except for the clam appetizer was extremely salty. Otherwise the choices excel. We cannot dine there as much as we would enjoy; however, we highly recommend.

Whispers is a great fine dining experience in a romantic setting in Spring Lake NJ. Wide range of choices for everyone to enjoy. Our server Ziggy was friendly and professional. The finest quality food doesn't come cheap but we think it's worth it if you like formal dining. BYOB so you can have fine wine with your dinner. Save room for dessert. Plenty of free parking outside.

Very quaint restaurant with delicious entrees. Didn’t realize it was BYOB but waiter let us know that a nearby liquor store would deliver wine to us.
