Bugs! Little gnats/drain flies invaded food and wine glasses. Staff didn't care. Have been to Whispers many times over several years. Will not be back.

This is a classy restaurant. The food was good but it was overpriced. I had pasta with pesto which was delicious. However, the 4 shrimp which were included with the pasta were a bit rubbery and tasteless. They tasted as though they had been frozen.

Our experience at Whispers was just kind of weird. We are in our fifties, and yet we found that, even when the dining room was quite full, we were nearly 20 years younger than almost anyone else in the place. The service was really excellent, but the food was only just OK. The ambiance is kind of strange; it looks like it was a nice place once upon a time, but now it has a "place time forgot" kind of feel. There was no music playing in the dining room, just the voices of diners which got louder and louder as the room filled up. We didn't have wine (they're BYO, in any case), shared one salad and each had an entree and the bill came to $150 before tip. That's way too much for a mediocre meal. In fact it's kind of too much for a very good meal, but seemed a bit outrageous, given the quality. The server was lovely and attentive.

He must experience when you were visiting the spring Lake area. The food is always phenomenal and the vibe is cool. Also remember it is BYOB.

Lovely setting, great service. The food was good, but obscenely expensive. Beyond Manhattan prices. Acoustics are not great, maybe the music could be a bit louder so we’re not hearing other diner’s conversations. Fyi, service charge for credit cards.

This was my first time at Whispers and I will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere, food, and wait staff were all superb. I had delicious lobster corn chowder, the filet mignon and the caramel apple dessert. My partner had the calamari, shrimp and scallops and the caramel apple dessert as well. We were both thrilled with our meals at this romantic gem of a restuarant.
