Brought our of town friends here for brunch. Everything was excellent as usual! Server was great! He did a great job reading the vibe of our fun group. The food was so delicious!

Second time here. It is a lively place with great service and good food. The appetizers and main courses were all very good. The only disappointment was on the desserts. It would behoove the restaurant to rethink how the pastry is sourced or created

I enjoyed the Lobster Chowder and the Garlic Bread absolutely delicious. I also had a beet salad which was great. My friends ordered a pasta they said was okay but could have been better. The name of the restaurant is covered by the outside set up. It would be nice if they would hang the name in the front where it is more visible. I had to get out of the car and walk down to look at each door before I saw the name on the door. I would go back. I would also like to be able to order the Lobster Chowder and Garlic Bread for pick up. Betty T. Lee

Calamari was stale. Crab cakes taste fishy and has a bitter flavor. My lobster chowder was ok and I had better from here before. My main dish scampi fettuccine was ok but too sour. I do like it that they use very good size shrimp! Seems they out too much lemons? overall it was just ok. I’ve been here before and food is good but not this time unfortunately!

A Hidden Gem in Pleasant Hill! Wence’s in Pleasant Hill, CA, is a delightful surprise. Nestled in a mini-mall, it defies expectations with its elegant, modern decor and warm, romantic lighting. The intimate atmosphere was enhanced by a talented acoustic guitarist, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable date night. The service was impeccable—our waiter, Jeremy, was attentive, knowledgeable, and superb throughout the evening. The highlight of the meal was the seafood grille dish, which was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. Every bite was a treat, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. Whether you’re planning a cozy dinner for two or celebrating a special occasion, Wence’s is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

The noise level in this restaurant dining area is deafening when large parties are dining on a Wednesday night . Unable to have much dinner conversation due to high noise level in restaurant. I have dined at noisy restaurants like house of prime rib but this one was louder . Owner needs to do more to help mitigate noise in open area dining . There is ample outdoor dining but it’s very cold in January. Not worth my money . My advice order take out or go elsewhere.

This my favorite local restaurant however tonight the food was off. The scallops special was just ok and the shrimp scampi was just ok. My husband had the crab Louie and while there was a lot of crab the presentation was really lacking. It would have been better to add some tomato and hard boiled egg slices for color AND just to have. We will be back though. I still love this restaurant.

The service was excellent! The waitress gave us space as we had to finish a tough call. After our meal, the waitress brought out a dessert because of our hard day. It was extremely thoughtful and kind!
