Le Chef Tyler Florence apporte sa passion pour la haute qualité et le style à San Francisco avec son nouveau restaurant phare, Wayfare Tavern. Une taverne traditionnelle de San Francisco, avec des plats américains authentiques inspirés de la cuisine locale au tournant du XXe siècle, le menu varie de confort classiques aux délices rustiques. Good food and ambience. But it was disappointing that our party was told at the very beginning of our dinner that the table was needed for another reservation just over an hour later and the servers and table busers pushed us along at a pace that was uncomfortable and made our dinner overall a bit of a bummer

Thank you to Wayfare Tavern and their staff. A great evening celebrating our team and a special birthday. Their wait staff was exceptional and their food outstanding. Great spot for a team lunch/dinner or place to share with friends and family. Definitely will be back and highly recommend.

It was great except the noise level. People were way too loud and my table could hear several different table “presentations” but couldn’t have our own table conversation. It became worse as the evening progressed. Inside voices would have been preferred.

Service is rushed and impersonal. They try to clear plates while you are still enjoying your meal. It’s as if you they want you out of there as fast as possible.

Very disappointing. The fried chicken was a chicken leg and wing and was $15, the mac and cheese was unseasoned, service was non-existent. Been a few times and would never go back.

The food is incredible delicious. No words to describe the taste. We tried the Dungeness crab cocktail, the salmon, the rigatoni, house made gelato and the chocolate cake

We dined at Wayfare during the late afternoon when the menu was limited. The restaurant was not busy, but the service was awful. We had reservations and were greeted by a host who snootily said he would seat us, even though only two of our three were present. Nice to offer, but with attitude. Our initial server was nice, but she disappeared and we were then served by another. The wait for our food was almost 45 minutes after we ordered (for burgers). Then, the server's memory and attention to detail turned out to be terrible. He got one of our order wrong (which had to be sent back) and had to be asked three different times to bring mustard for the burgers. Silverware was neglected and we had to wait quite a long time to get what we needed to eat. And, water wasn't refilled even close to promptly. Given the small number of customers at the restaurant - and the prices - the whole experience was underwhelming. The food itself was ok. The Ceasar salad was ample, but tasteless. The burgers were cooked, as ordered but were dense and also had little taste (which was incredible given the amount of cheese and bacon on them). Sad to say, we won't return.
