Le Chef Tyler Florence apporte sa passion pour la haute qualité et le style à San Francisco avec son nouveau restaurant phare, Wayfare Tavern. Une taverne traditionnelle de San Francisco, avec des plats américains authentiques inspirés de la cuisine locale au tournant du XXe siècle, le menu varie de confort classiques aux délices rustiques. We arrived for our reservation at 7:55, 5 minutes before our 8:00 reservation. We were not sat at our table until just before 9. We were told this was because othered were “checked in” ahead of us. That is not how reservations work. If there is a reservation for 8, that means there is a table available if I have a reservation. We were continually ignored by the staff who seemed to be running like chickens with their heads cutoff randomly pressing buttons on the iPad acting like they are fixing the problem rather than interacting with customers directly. I’ve been many times before, Will not be returning.

It was another fantastic dinner at Wayfare Tavern! It felt like they were short staffed with wait service, but the food was just as good as always.

I love the interior design and the overall vibe of the restaurant. They offer decent wines (medium+) and excellent cocktails. We arrived a little late and were seated in a side room that used to be a pool room (we were essentially seated around an upside-down pool table). We requested to change tables, but it took some time before we were moved to the main dining area. The waiter was very attentive, and the service was great. The steak was just okay—too heavy on the sauce for my liking. The bread and butter served at the start were fantastic! Overall, it’s a great spot with a fun atmosphere, perfect for special occasions.

Beautiful old place with a very up-to-the-minute sense of hustle and fun. Nicely focused menu with terrific surprises (beef stroganoff with gnocchi! Deviled eggs!) and great service.

Came for a business dinner and this restaurant has the best ambiance. Bustling but still warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Sasha was our server, and he was phenomenal. We were running late to our show and let Sasha know. He made sure we were out in time to see our show all while giving us an incredible experience. The food was impeccable as well. We will definitely be back.

Service here was really poor - very inattentive, took 1 hour to get first round of cocktails, took 3 hours to finish a meal that was just appetizers and entrees. Steak was tough and chewy. Won't be coming back.

The food was just okay. My burger was a bit over done and the fried chicken was flavorful but wasn’t as good as my last visit. The service was excellent. Joseph was very attentive and made our dining experience very pleasant. I’m hoping the food was just a one time thing and look forward to coming back again.
