Welcome to our classroom! Waterleaf, located in College of DuPage’s Culinary & Hospitality Center, is a dining experience that offers real-life training to Culinary, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Hospitality students. Patrons will enjoy menus utilizing fresh regional and seasonal ingredients prepared by Culinary & Pastry students as well as attentive service from our student servers.
Limited seating is available at each event and reservations are required. Reservations may be made until an event is sold out. For parties of 6 or more, please call us directly at 630-942-2284.

Good bread, salad, entree and dessert. Service can be more efficient. Overall a very good value.

Another wonderful meal at Waterleaf! Excellent soups, salads, and entrées, plus complimentary dessert. Our server was excellent and the host/instructor asked every table for feedback. A flavorful meal in a quiet atmosphere so you can talk with your lunch companions. A++

I had a great experience here. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We got a three course meal, dessert, and wine for a great price.

This Culinary School Restaurant at the College of DuPage is a gem. The food preparation, on the past two occasions we have attended, has been outstanding, and offered at a very reasonable price. Service was good, but reflects the "training experience" the culinary school is providing its students. With more dinner services under their belts, confidence will grow to deliver service consistent with the quality of the food.

We attended the Japanese Inspired Steakhouse dinner. The menu was very interesting offering a variety of food items. The Wedge Salad, Okonomiyaki, and Grilled shrimp were fresh tasing an prepared with great detail. The Koji Aged steak was delicious. The meal ended with a tasty Miso Caramel Tart. Our server was very professional and attentive.

I was not disappointed when I took a friend of mine to enjoy lunch with me at the Waterleaf Restaurant. We both enjoyed the ambiance, the Tex Mex menu, and our waiter who was extremely polite. We were also able to speak with the new chef which was a nice experience. I have attended lunch and dinner at the Waterleaf Restaurant in the past and have always been extremely impressed with the food, the ambiance, the entire experience. I would always speak positively about this venue and of the wonderful cuisine that the culinary students prepare.

Lindsay was our server (what a charming young lady!). The food was beyond fantastic. I’m not a drinker but wanted to try the drink they paired with the meal. The meal was “Japanese” themed. I had a sip with every dish, and it was next level. The tastes were just amazing, and with the sip of the drink, the different flavors of the meal popped. I desperately wanted to tell the bartender’s what a great job they did, then the 1 kid stopped by our table to get “feedback”. My wife and I talked about it all of the way home. We will definitely be back! I’m looking forward to either red wine or Riesling with my next meal (I’m not a drinker, but that sake’ drink sold me on trying it.

We have been to these student produced dinners before and this one was even better. Plus the service was improved from opening night. The food was spectacular. We have been to many upscale restaurants that weren’t as good as this. We will be going back again

We loved the tex mex menu, the corn soup was excellent, as was the salad, the entree we chose was the salmon. The only downside was the side of posole. All portioned very well for lunch.
