Stephanie was incredible, super helpful with our allergies and food restrictions. At any point showed any kind of frustration and explained us the menu and suggested safe options. Her suggestions were on point, the best fish I ever had in my life. The environment and food are superb.

Excellent evening! Great food and service. A bit pricey but ok. Didn’t help with birthday celebrations unfortunately.

What a great experience! Such beautiful ambiance, excellent service, and the food was incredible! My husband and I went with some friends and we ordered oysters, the scallops, NZ bream, Chilean sea bass, and the tuna entree… all highly recommended with a nice bottle of Pinot Gris. I will definitely come back next time I’m in town

Me and my wife had dinner tonight, we ate lobster and sea bass, both delicate and delicious. Desserts are great, especially bread pudding. Very good service.

Water Grill, Santa Monica - A Seafood Lover’s Dream Coming from the East Coast, where seafood is a way of life, we were excited to try Water Grill during our visit to Santa Monica, and it did not disappoint! By far, the fish and uni we had here were the best we’ve ever tasted—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I had the Chilean sea bass, which was cooked to perfection—delicate, buttery, and full of flavor. My boyfriend had the halibut, a dish I convinced him to try again despite his previous disappointing experiences at other restaurants back home. To his surprise, the chef’s attention to freshness, flavor, and balance completely changed his opinion. It confirmed that those past meals hadn’t done the fish justice, but Water Grill’s preparation was everything halibut should be. The Honeymoon oyster was also a highlight, with a perfect balance of caviar, ikura, quail, egg, and uni, delivering a rich, indulgent blend of briny and sweet flavors. And when the uni was served in its shell with a delicate sauce, it was a true celebration of the sea’s finest offerings. The service was impeccable, the ambiance elegant yet relaxed, and the menu left us wishing we could try it all. If you’re a seafood lover or just someone who appreciates top-tier dining, Water Grill is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return!

Great food, great service. Restaurant very crowded, but we were promptly seated with a reservation. High noise level. We were seated inside, as requested, but in the front row, with windows still open, although cool outside.

There were three of us at the table. All three had an entrée. All three independently talked about how salty their food was. I myself had the freshwater crab and I love salt. It was so salty. I almost couldn’t eat it. My next complaint is that the server had no sense of rhythm at all Really super intrusive across the board. And this from somebody who put herself through college waiting tables.

Really good spot overlooking the Pacific (across the road, a bit of distance away) with good, fresh seafood. The raw bar is wonderful. Entrees are delicious. Prices are high, but it is California. Valet parking is NOT complimentary, $19 on our visit, plus tip, but again, it is insane California and people seem to accept it.
