We had lunch in the outdoor area. Our service person was especially friendly and accommodating and the meal was delicious. Highly recommend.

We had been 5 years ago and went back this time in New York. It is an absolute gem, warm welcome great seating and our server was brilliant, he couldn't do enough for you, it made it a wonderful evening. And then to have the great food on top makes it perfect. The food was all freshly cooked and tasted wonderful. Josh lifted the experience from just being out for dinner to an enjoyable night out

Not our first time here. The food is good but the service was lacking. We ordered pecan pie alamode. It came with a thimble of icecream which was insulting for the price of $1.95 for the icecream.

Virgil's is an ideal destination for pre-theater dinner. It's huge so even if you drop in (early) you will be seated quickly and not have to worry about being late for your curtain time. The food is delicious and the portions very generous. Service is also exceptional. I recommend the brisket or shortribs but everything is very good.
