Lisa et Terry Harwood, à la fois chefs et propriétaires, vous accueille au Vine Street Cafe. Ouvert en 2003, il se trouve au sud de Ferry Road, à seulement 2,5 km de la station de métro South Ferry. Le chef Terry travaille en collaboration avec les agriculteurs, les pêcheurs et les vignobles de la région. Ces produits naturels sont proposés dans des menus de saison. Tous les plats sont faits maison, dont les desserts de Lisa, des crèmes glacées et des chips de fruits. Un petit marché a ouvert récemment derrière le restaurant. Vous pourrez y prendre vos commandes à emporter et des produits pour votre garde-manger. One of our favorite places and we go there often but yesterday should have been avoided Place was seriously overbooked and we waited 35 min past reservation time to sit and didn’t start eating till 915 Staff was overwhelmed as just way too many people - they did their best and it wasn’t anyone’s fault but they just booked past their capacity The hostess was very sweet and was working non stop to accommodate the influx of people as well as help set up some tables to keep things moving Another hostess there not sure what her role was but wasn’t interacting with the customers ? Maybe her role was to look for status of tables about to free up but I couldn’t tell One piece of advice that is very helpful If you’re running behind , overbooked, tell the clients the truth that it will be a 15,30,45 min Delay , not the standard line that was used that “ your table is being prepared “ and 30 min later clients still waiting Sometimes the truth is the best approach ! This is fabulous place , every staff member works hard and is dedicated ! Food is great ! Ambience is great ! Location and vibe is great ! Just perhaps don’t overbook at a peak time and level with people that delays sometimes occur and whatever the true expected wait time will be, tell them ! They then have the option of waiting or leaving

We had a lovely dinner at Vine Street food was very good our server Hannah was very nice and the host was able to change our original request for outside to indoors with very little wait.

Too noisy--had to shout to be heard even with people seated in next chair. Talking across table was impossible. Service was very slow. Two hours and 30 minutes--one drink, two courses--and it would have been longer had we not pushed for check. Had to ask for another water bottle three times. With unexpected nice weather, wanted to sit outside and maitre'd was inflexible even though most of outside tables were not taken. No interest in being accommodating. Overall, quite disappointing. We have been here many times and had much better experiences dining at Vine Street.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating our 33rd Anniversary. The staff is amazing and we enjoyed every bite. The food was fabulous and so delicious. No wonder the restaurant is busy all year long. We will be going back. Thank you to all of the staff who work so hard to make this an unforgettable restaurant. Cheers to the Chef!🍷

Our dinner at Vine was delicious as always. While it is on the pricier side everyone there is very helpful and accommodating. I recently left my credit card there by mistake and Matt drove over to retrieve it from the register since only the kitchen staff was there but even that gentleman was unbelievably helpful in tracking down someone to help me since the restaurant was actually closed.

I've been to Vine Street Cafe on many occasions but this time the service was incredibly slow, confused, and completely unapologetic. Please train your servers to remember food and drink orders and deliver them to the right person in a timely manner. If not possible, at least recognize there is a kitchen issue and let patrons know
