Located inside the sunny glass-topped Inn atrium, the newly-renovated Versailles Restaurant, features an internationally-inspired a la carte menu.

An expansive bar spans the length of the atrium and offers craft cocktails, beer, wine and a limited menu.

Weekend afternoons provide the perfect opportunity to unwind with a cup of tea and a selection of delectable treats during our traditional Afternoon Tea held in the Versailles Restaurant.

The Versailles Tea experience includes a variety of delicious teas accompanied by a selection of tea sandwiches, scones, pastries and sweets.

Tea is served from 2pm-4pm by reservation only Wednesday through Sunday starting February 22, 2020. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

    Our food was excellent; however, we would have liked more choices. There was only one soup choice, beef with beets, a rather unusual choice. Salmon was the only fish. The wine was very good. The waiter was extra attentive.

    We had the worst dining experience we've experienced in a long while. Our server was completely unattentive the entire duration of our meal almost to the point of feeling ignored. Not one water refill the entire meal (thankfully I had my own water bottle under the table to refill our glasses at least once). Received appetizers 30-40 min into dining experience (delivered from the kitchen staff) and completely consumed both before having to flag down the Maitre D and inform him we had not yet received our initially ordered bar drink and already consumed appetizers but waitress was MIA. Waitress finally came after visibly being in discussion from afar with the Maitre D and blamed it on the bartender while pouring my wife's glass of wine but ultimately never delivered my drink that was hand delivered by the Maitre D an additional 15 min later. Following that, we never received our entrees and the waitress stated she thought they had already brought that out. We promptly asked for the check (which was partially comped by the Maitre D) but what an unexpectedly terrible experience for a restaurant in an elevated atmosphere that's supposed to have top tier service especially considering the dining price point. The icing on the cake was after receiving the bill, the waitress leaned down and picked up the empty water bottle at my feet and asked if it was ours and my wife angrily stated "Yes and it's a good thing we had it because you didn't refill our water glasses once." Awful experience and that employee should definitely be evaluated.

    Great food, we got the Filet mignon as well as the scallops. Both were great dishes. The filet mignon was very juicy and the scallops were just right. For the appetizer we got the lamp tortellni, which was amazing. The only thing is that the mash potatoes could use a bit more seasoning.

    We 3 waited at the host checkin podium 10 mins. No one came to seat us. I went walking around looking for a server, employee, anyone who could seat us for our on-time reservation. FINALLY we were seated and waited another 10 mins. for a server to bring water and menus! Then with only one server for the whole section in the Versailles Room, we WAITED again for drinks, food, refills, (ketchup never came til I asked ANOTHER server walking by to bring it please). We drove 20 miles to celebrate a friend’s b’day! Soooo disappointed!!!

    Versailles was our favorite dining experience while staying at Chateau Elan (we had a meal at each of the restaurants). Great dinner and service.

    It is disappointing to see such a lovely spot turn negative. The service was below par -- I had a reservation for lunch at 12noon and my guests were not seated until 12:30 pm. There was what appeared to be about 2 servers and they were not happy to be there lacking friendliness and southern charm. It took 15 minutes to get greeted, 20 to get drinks and even longer to order food and get a check. The appetizer was good but the main courses were not good. One of my guests ordered the chicken caesar salad and the chicken was overcooked and tasted like a grill/griddle. The chicken salad sandwhich was not good either, lacking flavor. I have visited this hotel and restaurant numerous times and each time the experience is worse. Management needs to focus on the restaurant offerings and servers.
