We dined at Valley Green on Labor Day. Both the manager and Shannon were friendly, humorous, and attentive. Shannon in particular was helpful with menu questions and made sincere suggestions about the dishes she loved. She was so much fun, we wanted to invite her to sit down at our table and join the party. The entrees served were delicious. Everyone in my party was happy. I definitely will bring a group of family and friends again.

Had a lovely birthday lunch on the porch. The hummus and truffle fries to start were very generous and yummy. We were a little rushed because of a wedding happening that afternoon but our waitress was attentive and not pushy at all. The waitress did get one item wrong -brought filet mignon egg rolls instead of medallions but it was good so we did not change. it's a beautiful setting and lovely food. Will return.

One of my favorite places to dine and you can’t beat the location. the service was very good.

The staff is freidnyl and attentive. The food was beautifully made and delicious. I had the fillet egg roll and the Carnes Frittata. The silence of the restaurant allows you to take in nature's sounds. I would definitely recommend going. I can onlymimagine how it's like in the evening 🥰

Overall it was a nice place. We waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged which was pretty ridiculous. Food was okay. It was nice to sit outside but overall wouldn’t come back.

A special experience in every way; the food was delicious and moderately priced, and the atmosphere was charming. It was a perfect destination to bring out of town guests.

The Valley Green Inn is a great spot for lunch after a hike as an experience. I’ve been twice now and the food is okay. But the location and service makes up for it. Yesterday, my husband had the burger which he said was very good. We shared the stir fry vegetables which were actually steamed to an unpleasant texture. They came covered in a sweet sticky sauce and with a large odd fritter, which was good if you like deep fried food. The sea bass tacos were good but not great. Your best bet is to ask for all of the sauces on the side. I would recommend you go at least once as the location in the heart of the Wissahickon forest is not to be beat!

As always, VGI is my go-to place in Northwest Philly. I always bring my out-of-town friends there. Food is good, prices reasonable, and - most importantly - I can show off the beauty of our part of the city. Last night was no exception. My friends were visiting from Israel. They were uber-impressed! My only complaint was that the Wissahickon was very low. Instead of ducks and gentle water flowing, it looked mostly like a pile of rocks. Can you fix that, please?!!!
