   Amazing dining experience at Ukai ,it was our first visit and the food ,ambience and the service was fantastic.Aditi made our experience worthy ,with her amazing recommendations,especially the lobster tempura and the miso black cod was finger -licking good ! Would definitely come back to try more .

   The food it’s really good. Had very nice lunch. The swordfish carpaccio was delicious

   We went for a celebration, the restaurant has great atmosphere and nice view on Portobello Road. The food and drinks are really good. Excellent service The black cod miso and the Roku negroni 🔥

   Great bar and music for after dinner. Food was good but not great. Service friendly but not fast nor attentive. The table next to us took our wine by mistake?) and the waiter just gave it back to us saying they had not drank anything when we had seen them drinking. Instead of just offering us another bottle, she started negotiating with us the amount of free glasses we would have….weird

   We were only given our table for 90 minutes. This was not told to us when we booked. As a table of 2 this seems extremely unnecessary

   Went for dinner. It's a nice looking g place located on Portobello road, not the biggest place which we found out with the tables very close together meaning you can hear everyone's conversations. Food was decent enough. Came out very quickly. Service was not the fastest which didn't make sense as when we arrived the place was not busy. The one star is for a joke of a 14% service charge. Which again this restaurant says it's optional but the choice isn't given if you want to take it off. Mean you have to ask. This isn't America. I always believe the choice should be given and the person should not assume.

   Table for 1 🙋🏽‍♀️ Just because I didn’t want to do what my friends were doing for NYE did not mean I was going to take the Instagram self-care, ‘stay in with a face mask’ advice 😴. I wanted sushi and socialising, and if it meant solo so be it. Finding a table for 1 on NYE? Not as easy as you’d think with so many of the places I wanted to go to needing a minimum of 2 people for a booking 👎🏽 but @ukainottinghill delivered. After a lovely dinner of delicious sushi (ordering sushi for 1 is tough I won't lie! I was stuffed!) I stood at the bar. Within moments the manager, Rjan, carried a stool over his head, through a packed crowd, shuffled people along either side and placed it right in the middle of the bar just so I could sit. Thank you 🥹🫶🏽. And it was the perfect spot. I met two amazing women and had a great night. Made even better by the fact they’d each brought 12 grapes in their handbags 🍇😆. So I joined them under the table as they ate their grapes as the clock struck midnight to bring in luck for the New Year. Just the energy I needed. Super friendly service from Rjan and the bar team (I can't thank them enough!) and friendly atmosphere 🥰👊🏽

    Great festive dinner on new year eve. All delicious except the aubergine side which was overpowered with soy. Good service.
