I love ukai, it is always my go to for sushi. But last night was a bit different, dont know if it is a new chef or new ingredients but it was different

Really lovely food, great price point, too. Lots of choice of drinks and food. The gentleman waiter we had was attentive although the host didn’t offer an overly warm and friendly welcome. Saturday afternoon they have a very loud jazz band which I was not expecting and would likely not have booked had I known. The setting is really lovely though, would have been perfect if the music was even slightly quieter ( could hear them well enough without speakers on full)

Randomly selected among the options available, we were mostly looking for a sushi restaurant. Indeed it has been a very good experience: Saturday night, quite crowded but great atmosphere with DJ set. Food was good and service very careful and quick. We reserved a table in the restaurant but at our arrival that was not yet ready. We stayed at the bar but it was good and we enjoyed the good music. Prices are in line with London downtown average

As a fairly regular Ukai customer I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. The service was stellar as usual but the food was terrible- the worst I’ve ever had there. We ordered 2 lamb chops, one medium rare and one well done- both of which came out looking pretty similarly cooked on a bed of dry wilted salad leaves which can’t have been wilted by the heat of the lamb chops because they were very cold. The sticky rice was warm and bland. The staff were very helpful and apologetic but after microwaving the lamb chops and bringing them back out they were just very dry and unimpressive. Although we were given a small discount at the end- as this was birthday meal following me singing Ukai’s praises as one of my favourite bar/restaurants - I was and still am very disappointed with my experience. We left feeling hungry after eating a meal and a starter. In addition to this we ordered a juice and one cocktail, which came to £95 with the discount- seems pretty steep considering how little we actually ordered.

Wonderful experience Visited ukai for the first time tonight and might have a new favourite sushi restaurant in London.We ordered hamachi carpaccio, selection of sushi rolls and a Wagyu ribeye to share; the seafood was very fresh, the hamachi had unique flavour, the wagyu was melting in our mouths delicious. Great service and ambiance too

Went for a date on sunday. Eating here is such a treat, amazing vibes. The sushi lovers platter was delicious, very nice dragon roll and fresh sashimi. We ended the meal with some desserts, both very nice. Our favourite was the lobster tempura and the ukai strip with truffle.

Really good vibe to the place but unfortunately the food was ok at best. Everything very bland and rolls all tasted the same. Fest place for a drink at happy hour but would pass on this for dinner in the future.

First impression Very noisy. Service was inconsistent and slow. I had to ask three times to get my drink. Food came out slow and when it eventually did one dish was removed as it was for another table. Other big tables who arrived after us got food before us. Food when it arrived was very good but overall a really disappointing experience. I did raise it with the manager who removed the service charge and gave us a discount on the food which was appreciated but would have preferred to pay the bill and get the service!

Went for dinner on thursday night, there was a dj playing at the bar. Great service, the food was really good, the ceviche and the flat iron steak were delicious.
