When first built in 1685 on Philadelphia's waterfront, the original Tun Tavern developed a reputation for offering fine beers & being home to important historical events including being the birthplace of the United States Marine Corps on November 10, 1775. Today's Tun Tavern continues to hold prestige as the first brew pub in Atlantic City, NJ offering award-winning casual gourmet cuisine & handcrafted brews.

Tun Tavern offers a Full Service Bar featuring Home Brewed Beer & Great Wine, an Outdoor Deck, and Banquet Facilities Available.

Located in the center of Atlantic City, 4 blocks from the Casinos & adjacent to the Walk Outlet Mall. We offer a personal parking lot with full validation after purchase of a meal.

Diving Horse Hazy IPA : IPA 6.8% ABV
An unfiltered New England Style IPA brewed with wheat & oats. This beer was hopped in the kettle with Amarillo, Mosaic and Citra. Upfront flavors and aromas of tropical fruit, melon and citrus
Tunkin Pie : Pumpkin Ale 5.1% ABV
Autumn in a glass! Brewed with loads of pumpkin pie spice and vanilla beans, this medium-bodied ale is an easy drinking, cool weather treat.

An ode to simpler times, this is no strange brew. This smooth American ale is sure to quench your thirst and make you feel free!
Oktoberfest : Märzen 6.2% ABV
This copper lager has a rich, biscuity malt character, with light caramel notes. Despite its fuller body, a subtle, floral hop character rounds it out to make it an incredibly drinkable fall treat.
Tun Light : American Light Lager 4.7% ABV
Light and refreshing with a balance of light malt flavor and herbal hops, resulting in a clean crisp finish
Rebel Saison : French Saison 5.5% ABV
Brewed with orange peel and a hint of coriander, this thirst-quencher of a farmhouse ale will keep you coming back for more.
Tun Shandy : Shandy 4.7% ABV
This light, refreshing, lemon-infused lager is sure to cool you down and quench your thirst!
Devil's Forge : Pale Ale 4.7% ABV
Inspired by the flavors, aromas, and folklore of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, this pale ale was brewed with pine, aged on Atlantic White Cedar, and flavored with a hint of cranberry. Complex but refreshing, this beer is reminiscent of a day spent floating down the Mullica River, hiking the Batona Trail, or simply relaxing under a canopy of pine and cedar trees.
Tun Tripel : 8.0 ABV : Belgian Tripel
An American twist on an old Belgian favorite, this strong ale combines the floral, citrus, and herbal flavors of Loral and Palisade hops with the classic Belgian bouquet of banana and clove to create a unique and alarmingly drinkable beer.
Tun Stout : 7.6% ABV : English Stout
This full-bodied stout combines aromas of chocolate and coffee with flavors of vanilla, roasted malt, and classic American hop varieties to create the perfect cold weather libation.

Use this app to make a reservation but when I arrived the hostess told me they don’t use this site and have asked many times to be removed from open table . Very frustrating since now I had to wait 40 min . Kitchen was backed up and asked not to seat anyone until they caught up . After being told it would be another 30 min I asked can you at least seat us and order drinks , sitting and standing make a big difference. Finally they seated us , I had to make a trip to the bar to get my own drinks . Very expensive bar , $18 for a glass of house white wine and they actually had the nerve to serve it in a paper up which I refused to accept. Your going to charge me that insane price and I don’t get a wine glass . Best thing about it was the food and that was just alright. My daughter and I were attending a convention next door all day , we were tired and hungry and no other options were available and I’m not walking the streets of AC at night . I would order pizza delivery or eat a candy bar from a vending machine before going back here . One star review from me .

We were seated quickly. However, we were disappointed to find that the menu was very limited, compared to the menu that is posted on their website. Even some of the items that were on the limited menu were unavailable. For example, they said that they did not have any breaded chicken and, therefore, could not serve the Louisiana Chicken sandwich nor put breaded chicken on my Caesar salad. Aside from that, once we put in our order, it came out very quickly, but our server didn't come by to ask how our food was while we were eating. Luckily, we were happy with what we ordered.

Terrible service. When we arrived we were told Tun Tavern does not accept Open Table reservations, even though there is a link on their website. Do not eat here unless you want your meals to come out before your appetizers, and 3 of 4 meals to be delivered together with the 4th arriving 15 minutes later. Do not expect to have napkins or flatware to use with your meal. Also do not eat here unless you want your table cleared of unfinished food and drinks when you get up to use the bathroom, then come back to your table having a whole new family seated there. Do not eat here unless you want the manager to harass you after you’ve already paid for all the meals, including the ones the staff cleared and got rid of before you could finish them. The manager couldn’t be bothered to come talk to us about the table being cleared, or any other food service issues but after we paid he was able to come over and tell us we were in the wrong to complain about service. He then proceeded to tell us to leave and not come back. Food and service is much better at Wingcraft located just across the street.

Due to it being a cheer competition weekend they did not honor any reservations from open table. It was a disaster. Everyone showed up and they said you have to wait in line for a table. Most people left.

Food and drinks were pricey. My $15 glass of wine was served to me in a plastic cup. Food came out fast, so that’s a plus.

Outstanding! Setting was motivated. Our waitress was nice and extremely friendly.. ( Sharon ) food was to be expected there, bar foods, and the beer was delicious as well. USMC -MSgt- Retired.

Their not open on Thursday , they really need to reach out to let you know so no one will book through you guys for Monday through Thursday so annoying. They’re only open on weekends.

We are there twice due to it being connected to our hotel during terribly low temperatures outside. The food was good, not fantastic. I had a burger the first night and the bun was cold. The next night I requested my bun to be toasted on the brisket. My husband ordered the wings both nights and loved them!
