Le Tsunami est un petit bijou caché sur Clapham. Il crée un environnement intemporel de détente pour ses convives. Si vous ne pouvez pas aller à Nobu, vous trouverez là les mets qui sauront vous plaire, sans faire un trou dans votre budget. Niché loin de l'agitation de la vie de West End, idéalement situé à quelques pas de la station de métro, ce restaurant japonais renommé offre une intimité attrayante. Dès que vous passerez le cadre de porte en bois et que vous quitterez la rue Clapham High animée et inondée de fêtards, un sentiment de calme vous envahira et vous découvrirez le Tsunami : un fascinant et accueillant paradis zen. La réputation du Tsunami repose essentiellement sur son vaste menu qui comprend une grande variété de mets japonais traditionnels comme les sushis, les tempuras et le teriyaki. I recently dined here and, it was an exceptional experience. Japanese cuisine was superb each dish was beautifully presented and good value. The attentive service truly enhanced the evening, making it unforgettable. Highly recommended for an elegant dining experience.

Never been before but had heard positive reports over the years so gave it a shot. Food was great but probably a tad overpriced - and heading into fine dining territory. Atmosphere was lively and the staff were friendly - so a good experience overall although service was annoyingly slow at times considering the place wasn’t hugely full.

Great food and even better service from Elisa (from Dominica Republic). Dined on the 2 for 1 cocktails and 20% off deal which allowed us to try more yummy items. Great atmosphere.

Really excellent food today at Tsunami, it’s always so tasty and well presented. Service also great, Rene served our table. I would recommend choosing lunchtime over dinner as the kitchen at night gets overwhelmed and service is therefore slow. It was just right for us at lunchtime today.

If you like sushi at all I wouldn’t recommend this place. Hubs and I agree that the sushi itself is a 4/10. Service is terrible, everyone seems to be on a work experience placement. I asked my waitress a question about a drink and she said, “I don’t know” and despite the bar being right behind her she didn’t bother asking …… The place is kind of falling to pieces with wonky tables and chairs, chipped tables, worn out booths and just overall looking pretty tired. I went here before a few years ago and as soon as I realized it was the same place I just sucked it up and hoped for the best. It is as I remember it from before.

Poor service including interrupting our conversation to take away the plate from my guest, even though I was still eating, forgetting to bring the water for the table having been asked twice and then not clearing the table when I’d finished eating. Food OK…it used to be so much better.

Amazing food as always, but we had a constant lack of service, not a fixed waiter, and as we paid cash, one of the waiters got our change wrong twice. We had to cancel a drink order as we had no more time to spend there - and the restaurant was half empty. We had better days there. As for the food - always recomended.
