Tre Lune is expensive but worth it. Food and service excellent and ambience is nice. My favorite South Coast restaurant.

We really wanted to like this spot. Last night of our weekend getaway to celebrate our two anniversary. The best part of the night was the valet. His was charismatic and made a great first impression. He wished us a happy anniversary and told we were going to have a great time and enjoy some amazing food. Here is where the challenge started. We made a reservation for 8.45p didn’t get seated until 9.10p’ish but that after the hostess told us there was a 15-20 minute wait and we should walk around the street mall until a text came thru. Did you catch that? She basically told us to walk around at 9pm to look at shops that were closed in the dark. Ok. Next we assume it was the GM she came and asked us if we wanted a drink because of the wait and then asked if we wanted to sit at the bar out of the cold. Wonder why the hostess didn’t offer the bar before sending off to window shop. Once we finally were seated, we weren’t greeted by our server Aria until she had already brought the two locals their wine, their break and taken their orders…even though they sat down not more than 2 mins before we did at the table immediately next to them. It was a slight challenge speaking to Aria because the energy was off. We could feel, hear and see that we were treated differently than the two ladies seated before us. Could go on and on but what we figured out is the locals get better treatment in fact if you look around the restaurant the are chairs around the room welcoming them in because always have seat at the table. If the service was better we probably would have considered going back every year and earning a seat at their table. But alas …

It was my husband’s birthday dinner and the food was excellent and so was the service. Our favorite restaurant in Monticito!!

This is my second visit to Tre Lune and I was, again, extremely happy I was able to go while on our way to Santa Barbara. I had pizza and my husband had the linguine and clam sauce. Both meals were delicious! The pizza has a wonderful crispy crust. There was a perfect ratio of toppings and cheese. My husband said the clams were perfectly cooked and the fresh linguine was delicious. We each had a glass on a Super Tuscan wine that we both fully enjoyed. We will be back!

I recently celebrated my birthday at Tre Lune, and the experience was truly exceptional! The staff made me feel incredibly special, and their attentiveness made me feel like the center of attention. As a former Northern Italian restaurant owner with extensive experience tasting Italian cuisine, I can confidently say that both the food and atmosphere here are genuinely authentic. My server, Mario, provided excellent service and demonstrated impressive knowledge about the wine selection. My son Tre couldn’t be with me for my birthday, so Mario took a picture of me and my dog. I sent it to Tre so he could see that I was having a great time celebrating! The warm, family-like atmosphere was evident in the staff's interactions and clearly seen in their enjoyment of their work. The menu is reasonably priced, and as a delightful birthday surprise, the restaurant gifted me some delicious Tiramisu! The pizzas are a standout and highly recommended. I will definitely return on my next visit, as this meal was truly memorable. A+ for both service and food! Thank you ~ ElizaBeth

Loved Burrata salad and chicken Marsala. However, I make a better linguine clams. Clams were a bit overcooked and sauce didn’t have much flavor. I had to ask for parsley. Chocolate mousse was heavenly and we loved our waiter. We will return.

Our waiter Arturo was so helpful with picking our wine- very patient and willing to help us decide on a delicious wine! Our meals were very good - Ed had minestrone soup and lasagna and I had the burrata salad caprese with the veal chop. All perfectly prepared and cooked! This place is great!
