Last night was a true dining experience like no other! First time Chef’s Table at Trader Vic’s was a glorious delight; the food, the drinks, the service, all wonderful just as we have come to expect when we dine at Trader Vic’s. I truly hope this experience is repeated again in the future!

Having grown up during the tiki bar/restaurant era, it is always a joy to return to Trader Vic's and step back in time. Definitely appreciate the menu change under the newish chef.

Starting with the warm greeting by the hostess, our experience was great. We arrived early for our dinner and though we couldn’t be seated immediately, they had a comfortable place for us to wait and have a drink. She took us to our table and shared history of the restaurant. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel like we were the only ones there. Our server, Samantha, was incredible as well. Very pleasant very knowledgeable and again made us feel like we were her only table although clearly she had others and was busy. The food was tasty. The peanut butter are amazing and everyone had a really nice time at the restaurant.

For 55 years since a teenagers, my mom's dream has been to go to a Trader Vic's. Not having one near us, we were finally able to plan a trip to Atlanta to take her. The experience could not have been better. From the second we walked in, they made my mom's visit special. Got a great table with a great waitress. She was attentive and very pleasant. The manager came by twice to make sure we were having a good time. He even gave my mom a special glass for the occasion. The food was delicious, especially the pork appetizer. The bacon scallops were perfectly cooked. The surf and turf was delicious. Highlight of the meal though, was watching my mom have her first Mai Tai. But the dinner was just the beginning. After we were done, we were invited to have a tour of the restaurant. Something we found out they offer on Saturdays. Mr Rider, our tour guide, started off with a history of Trafee Vic, both the man and the restaurant. Then he took us around the restaurant showing us the original artwork by Trafer Vic himself. Tables where presidents and celebrities sat out. Where movie scenes had been filmed. So thank you to everyone: hostess, waitress, bartender, cook, manager, and Mr Rider for giving my mom an amazing experience, 55 years in the making.

Service was very…continental? Our drinks took well over 20 minutes to come out and there were only a handful of tables in the restaurant as we were early for our 6pm reservation. Calamari starter was tasty but didn’t seem to contain a lot of calamari, was more batter than anything. My husband’s order of all in fried rice was great. My beef bulgogi was fine but full of onions - I am not used to it containing that many onions. The s’mores cake dessert was the part of the night. This was probably a once and done but it was a fun night.

Crab Rangoon tasted and smelled fishy, ribs were tough and cold! No manager touched our table after we sent the food back. We were not offered anything else. Drinks were fine, but we were so turned off by the food and lack of customer service we left. Our server was nice but seemed disappointed when we decided against the prefixed Valentine’s Day menu. I’d go back for drinks and ambience. Stay away from the food and it’s a fun as a gimmick

Trader Vic's Atlanta is definitely a destination! It is absolutely worth a trip downtown and even the $30 parking! We had the Valentine's Honi Honi menu and it was outstanding from start to finish. The staff is lovely from excellent table service (Chryslin!) to the manager to Chef Julio, who runs an AMAZING kitchen. Our menu was pork bao, chateaubriand, duchess potatoes, creamed spinach and a very fancy chocolate raspberry dessert. All perfectly executed and perfectly seasoned. Delightful! Trader Vic's is the last original tiki bar in America and it delivers on tiki atmosphere, drinks and really great food.

Very good service and not too crowded on a Wednesday night. Hard to find, but just ask for directions, it’s worth it. Fun Polynesian themed restaurant.
