Calamari was properly cooked but the marinara was watery. Caprese was just diced tomatoes and mozzarella slices in a bowl very lazily prepared. Eggplant Parm was ice cold and had a strange texture and flavor. Pork chop was very obviously precooked and bone dry and overall the entire dish tasted like the vinegar peppers. Drinks were great though.

As a server and someone in the industry for 8 years, I went into the dinner excepting food to take an hour + to be ran, which it did, which I was fine with. What I did not except was the server to take the food & drink orders and not see her again until almost 2 hours into our dinner, when we spent the last 30+ minutes trying to flag her down. We never got another round of cocktails, we never got another bottle of water, never got a chance to order dessert, and my food came incredibly dry, and not up to my or Toscana standards ( I would hope ). We came to spend money, and that ultimately did not happen. Unfortunately I did not get to eat and by the time I flagged her down for more sauce, we just wanted a box to take home as my boyfriend had been finished eating as we were now probably 2 hours into this reservation . The server then informed me it would take a while for sauce and she didn't want to keep us waiting... A manager brought it over within another 10 minutes so not sure what happened there. Very disappointing.

This was my second visit here. I was VERY impressed with my first, where we sat in the dining room and the food was so delicious. This time was Valentine’s Day so it was very busy. I made a reservation 4 days ahead but could only get a high top table at the bar at 4:30. It was noisy there and not the same ambience as dining room. Our waiter was very nice and drinks and bread came right away, and my salad also. But our entrees took a very long time. I got eggplant parm and the sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee. Perhaps it was a different cook since the food was excellent last time, but maybe it was just the sauce. I can’t recall what I got the first visit but it couldn't have had that tomato sauce. My husband got that sauce our first time and said he didn't like it either. This time he got chicken and pasta with a cream sauce which was fine. I loved my first visit but was disappointed this time. I don’t know if I’ll be back …maybe on a less busy night I may try a different dish. Our waiter was also the bartender and that’s not a good idea if you are not seated at the bar…they are too busy. But he was as efficient as possible under the circumstances, and very nice.

Everything was great. We had a nice table for two along the wall in the function room. Our waitress was outstanding as she gave us plenty of time between courses. A perfect nite. Highly recommend this Toscana on Bourbon St.

Amazing food, delicious house made Pistachio Martinis, and the service was EXCELLENT! This place is now a favorite of our family after our first visit last night!
