Unfortunately it was a rainy evening so visibility was limited but that aside we were perplexed to understand the rave reviews of Top of the Mark. We expected an intimate bar area with craft drinks and appetizers. There was no bar. The atmosphere was very average, the drinks were decent but wine selection was mediocre and the food was limited and underwhelming at best.

Came to hear Vintage Jukebox Orchestra, but there was no orchestra just a 4 piece band. Somewhat misleading but still a good time.

We attended the TOTM New Year's Eve event for perhaps the 10th time in the last 17 years. The food and drink was outstanding! The appetizer stations were amazing and the plated dinner was excellent. However, the room, at least where we sat, was bitterly cold. This has been an ongoing problem over the years and it seems that the TOTM is unable to fix it. Despite repeated pleas by us and by couples sitting close by, the temperature throughout the evening remained unacceptably cold. And, over the years, the NYE event has become more and more casual, to the detriment of the ambience. It used to be an opportunity to dress up, a tuxedo for me and an evening gown for my wife. This year was the low point. Very few people seemed to have made any attempt. Some appeared to have rolled out of bed and put on whatever they found on the floor. It resembled more a farmer's convention than a NYE gala. I think for next year we will have to look for an event where the dress code is less ignored. But if you are looking for a spectacular view, with excellent food and drink, and good service, where you can attend in a t-shirt and jeans and wear your baseball cap backwards all evening, then this event is for you. But for us, it was disappointing.
