Une visite à San Francisco ne serait pas complète sans une étape au Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar. Ce restaurant a été constamment primé pour proposer la « Meilleure Happy Hour de San Francisco » par le San Francisco Magazine, le San Francisco Bay Guardian et plus récemment, le Where Magazine. Le Tonga Room sert une cuisine polynésienne exceptionnelle dans un cadre tropical avec tonnerre et pluie torrentielle. Il offre une escapade parfaite après une longue journée de réunions ou de shopping le long de l'Union Square. Ne manquez pas de goûter son cocktail Mai Tai, élu le meilleur de la ville par le Condé Nast Traveler. Les réservations sont prises uniquement pour le souper. L'Hurricane Bar et l'Happy Hour sont disponibles selon le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi. Un droit d'entrée s'applique après 20h00, quelle que soit votre heure d'arrivée. Le tarif est le suivant : - 7 USD par personne le mercredi, le jeudi et le dimanche - 10 USD par personne le vendredi et le samedi.

The Island Groove is our live band who performs the top 40’s hit songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s as well as current hits. The cover charge is $10 per person on Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday beginning at 8:15pm and $15per person on Friday & Saturday beginning at 8:15pm. Please keep in mind that once the band starts the cover charge applies to all guests in the restaurant and the bar regardless of the time they arrive.

No-show reservations and cancellations for any reason outside of 48-hours will not be eligible for refunds. Cancellations must be sent via email to TongaRoom@Fairmont.com to be eligible. Live music in Tonga Room begins at 7 pm and reservations made for 7 pm or later will also include a $15 cover charge per person added to the bill. Each reservation guarantees a table in our dining room for a 2-hour experience. The $50 per person charge will be used towards your dinner experience. This experience is not for bookings for drinks and/or appetizers only. Requests for tables poolside will be taken into consideration but cannot be guaranteed. For Parties over 10, contact TongaRoom@Fairmont.com to discuss large party reservations.

Tourist trap through and through. Food was extremely overpriced and a mandatory $50 Per person in order to make a reservation. It was easy to hit $100 when an app platter costs $66. Limited menu. The only thing the restaurant has going for it is the theme. But even that wears off pretty quickly.

Really slooooowwwwwwwwww service. Server was very kind, but he rarely came to the table. We had to flag him down for more drinks. Barely saw him. Little ridiculous for how expensive the place is. Feels like they’re riding the iconic nature of the place. Food is good, but nothing special.

A wonderful experience. I stayed at the Fairmont for 6 nights. I didn't realize the Tongan room was so popular. We tried to book through the hotel concierge and were told it was fully booked. I checked open table a day before and saw a table for 3 was available at 5pm! We also got my mother in a room for a staycation while we were in town. My mother in law worked in SF for over 30 years has been wanting to go to the Tongan Room for awhil3. Although we didn't get to experience the live band our dinner was wonderful. We had two vegans in our party. We were able to get the mushroom fried rice without eggs. The food was delicious. The noodles were pricey at $37 but you received a good portion! Hash and Gregg were amazing waiters. They checked on us just the right amount of times and even talked me into getting a secknd drink thankfully it wasnt as strong as the Mai Tai I drank first. The "tropical storms" still happen from 5-7pm. The security guard is funny! He cracked a couple jokes. The Tonga Room is a bit pricey but it's located in the Fairmont. I think the price is what you would expect given the location and ambiance. We would definitely ear here again.

Fabulous & Fun Experience! The service was prompt, helpful and excellent. The food came out fast & the servings were like family style size servings and DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the asparagus which we got as our appetizer, but it would make an excellent side dish or appetizer- maybe the best asparagus I have ever had. The band comes out on the boat into the middle of the pool with some great tiki jazz lounge hits. There was a whole conference group on the other side of the room, but we all could hear fine. I definitely recommend making a reservation. We will be making this a regular SF go to.

Massively overpriced tourist gimmick. If you like dancing I suppose it’s good - the band were okay but they use a backing track so it’s not all live music - but the curry was tasteless and pasty and the price absurd even by San Francisco standards. Add the cover charge and it is really not even close to being worth it. I made one request of the waiter the entire meal and he forgot it!

Great experience again- very attentive staff. You can never go wrong to celebrate special occasions. It’s always a come back place.

Awesome place, definitely the best tiki bar in SF. But the food was far too expensive for what you got in terms of portions and quality

Such a fun and very memorable experience. Arrived one hour early for our reservation with a plan to have a drink at the bar. Offered us a poolside table right away. Friendly staff. Service was good. Food was very tasty. Live music was very fun and much better than expected.
