Welcome to the original Theo's Steakhouse, located on Talbot Street in charming St. Michaels, Maryland. We serve hand-carved steaks, craft cocktails, local seafood, upscale appetizers and all-American classics. Add flair to your meal and book a champagne sabering; extend your dinner party and finish with dessert and a port tonging. Happy hour is 4-6 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Shorts & boat shoes welcome!

I ordered the New York strip steak medium-rare…it came to me medium-well (barely pink). I asked the server to take it back (I rarely do this but since I was being charged $67 for the steak, I thought I should have it cooked the way I like it). The house manager then came to argue with me that the steak was cooked to 120 degrees. I told her it was barely pink and definitely not medium-rare. She continued arguing with me that I cut it at the thinnest section of the steak. I told her that I also checked in the middle. She finally agreed to bring me another steak which came to me 20 minutes later after my wife had finished her dinner. The server was very nice and understanding. Needless to say, this was a huge disappointment since my wife and I were celebrating an event that evening.

Oh my gosh- I'm sorry you felt that I was arguing with you. I just wanted to make sure that I brought you a steak the way you wanted it. My sincere apologies that you did not have the experience that you expected.

Wonderful dinner for 10 last night! Not one thing to find any fault with! Charmaine was excellent - very knowledgeable and attentive. Everyone’s food was perfect - hard with 10! Never felt rushed. Wine and alcohol selections are above the norm. Prices reasonable for location, quality of food and service! A favorite every time we visit St Michaels.

Service was amazing! Server was a seasoned staff member who explained the menu, options and recommendations. Food was delicious and we enjoyed every minute of our time at Theo’s . Our first time and definitely not our last. Great menu and the steaks were delicious.

We had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was amazing and very helpful with our food selection. The ambience was very quiet and quaint. I got the steak Diane and my husband got the salmon. Both meals were great.

This is an incredible hidden gem in St. Michael's! The steaks were as good as, if not better than, any Chicago steakhouse I've been to. The service is exceptional. You pay for the quality of the food, and it is worth every penny!

Caroline did a beautiful job serving our group. As always, the food was exceptional. I would never have thought that Parmesan and salmon would go together, it was a delicious meal. The steak Roquefort is a go-to favorite. Truth be told, everything is thoughtfully prepared and yummy. Special shout out to Audrey, who always makes us feel special.

We had a phenomenal dinner for our fourth anniversary here. We’ve been 4 or 5 times and I think it gets better and better everytime. Excellent food, great waitress and service, and the ambiance was perfect for what we wanted. Thanks for making our anniversary memorable!
