Didn’t fancy cooking so came here as have been loads of times before, nice food, nice staff, and reasonably priced.

I have eaten here many times and my husband and I even held our wedding reception here. Fabulous food. Very good choice. The staff are great. The service is excellent. Would definitely recommend The Woodman for a meal out.

Lovely friendly welcome to our family with a year old toddler. The menu was varied with interesting specials and the food was all served quickly and tasted wonderful. We will be back!

Very friendly, smiley and efficient service, good delicious food, good portion sizes, well presented and piping hot. Very nice surroundings, clean and cosy. Will be back!!! Totally recommended

love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."

We went for the carvery and the food was awful! Everything apart from the meat was frozen Aunt Bessie style even the yorkshires! and the food was luke warm at best. The dessert was very much in the style of school dinner puddings which I liked. The staff were excellent.
