Situé au centre du Vieux Worthington, le restaurant The Whitney House présente une nourriture réconfortante américaine, une cuisine concoctée de A à Z, raffinée et rustique. Il utilise des ingrédients frais et locaux et est constamment à la recherche de nouvelles techniques novatrices afin de servir sa communauté. Le Whitney House rend hommage aux maisons et aux cuisines du passé qui accueillaient et traitaient tout le monde comme sa famille, en proposant des boissons et de la nourriture faites avec amour. Le Whitney House s'est ouvert par amour pour les mères. Son menu a été créé en souvenir des soupers du dimanche où toute la famille se rassemblait dans la salle à manger (et dans le salon s'il manquait de place) pour s'asseoir, se retrouver et profiter d'un délicieux repas ensemble.     I’ve been to the Whitney House in the past and had a great experience, but today was disappointing because of the food, unfortunately. I ordered the brioche French toast and it came out cold. The waiter took it back and brought me a new one, but that was lukewarm at best. Another at the table had the same issue. It was also overwhelmingly sweet. Another friend ordered the short rib hash and the eggs came out very under cooked, with the white parts runny. I love the Whitney House, but today was a disappointing experience.

    Very nice experience. Relaxed atmosphere, attentive wait staff and they definitely have the best hamburger in town (Worthington)

    Our service, food and drinks were very good. I gave it the overall stars because the lighting was far to bright and at time the music was really loud, both killed the ambiance. We'll be back though.

    This was our first visit. Brussel sprout appetizer was excellent. Skillet cornbread was also very good. We ordered the blackened chicken sandwhich and blackened chicken salad for our entrees. The seasoning on the chicken wasn’t our favorite, but the dishes were good and fresh none the less. We ordered the chocolate chip cookies for dessert, which unfortunately were hard and dry. Also had the olive oil cake which was very good. Coffee wasn’t hot. Very nice ambiance. We would return for another meal.

    We had a great meal and experience last night. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. Our food was delicious and hot. We loved our drinks! Thanks for a great meal.

    The chicken pot pie was outstanding, the tomato soup , ok, didn’t care for the balsamic on top, the grilled cheese, ok, would have preferred more traditional with cheddar cheese, the beet salad and hamburger, outstanding. The service outstanding, the ambience is a little sterile, We will probably be back, but could use some updates and better music, and a little more class.

    We went for brunch. We had checked out the menu in advance. For brunch there are two sweet options & maybe 5-7 savory entrees. We wanted to try the french toast & the waffles. Our server informed us they had just run out of french toast & their waffle iron was broken. This was at 1:00 PM & brunch goes until 3. So we ordered a burger & short rib hash dish, along with breakfast potatoes, which were described as potatoes with onions, peppers & sausage. Sounds good right? Well the potatoes had no onion pepper or sausage to be found. The burger was decent. The short rib hash was meh at best. Black burnt Brussel sprouts, almost zero short rib. We were not offered a chance to order a second drink until we had finished eating. So brunch was meh.
