Our first visit and a 1.30 hour drive to get there but it so worth it! Wonderful setting, wonderful service and the food amazing and the lemon tart - the best I've ever tasted, just perfection on a plate. It was a special treat for my husband and we would definitely go back again. Thank you so much for making it a truly wonderful visit.

Visited on recommendation as being the best food around. Opted for Surf and Turf x 2. I ordered my steak medium, my partner ordered his well done. There were areas of my steak that I considered to be rare, and my partners far from well done. The lobster came smothered in garlic butter rendering it tasteless. In fairness to the staff, when we mentioned the reason for not finishing our steaks, the cost of one steak was removed from the bill. We would much preferred to have had our steak cooked as requested.

We go nearly every year and last night, the staff made a real effort to make our 2nd Wedding year Anniversary unforgettable. Great food, great staff and a great night. Thank you to The White Horse team who made it a special night for us. 5 star! Thanks Adam & Kate

We were really looking forward to coming after seeing all the posts on social media. Perhaps we came on a bad day, sorry to say. Ordered 2 x Seafood Platters - no leman, no oyster vinegar. We added the lobster to both at additional cost.. just was quite underwhelmed. Service was not great…wrong drinks order, chips came cold and 20 mins after the rest of our mains, service generally slow. Afterwards we went down to the marshlands bar, and loved it down there, the food looked better in fact and a great vibe. We would come back, just think it must have been one of those days, just a shame as we’d booked this months ago, and a 2 hour drive there.

We stayed the night for a Birthday, Lovely breakfast and also dinner. Service from the team was really great. The only comments would be maybe a little more meat on the menu, its very fishy and if you are in Norfolk for a few days you eat a lot of fish so other options would be nice. Also what has happened to Champagne! everywhere is switching to sparking wines or unknown champagnes, would be great to see some usual suspects like Laurent Perrier Rose and Veuve Clicquot on the menus, you would sell a lot I'm sure. Thanks and would definitely come again.
