The impressive accolades of Oxfordshire Restaurant of the Year and Best Gastropub, are richly deserved for the White Hart. Set in the picturesque village of Fyfield, The White Hart is the ultimate country pub and offers one of the finest foodie dining experiences in the county. Housed in a stunning 15th century chantry, customers can choose to eat under the soaring eaves of the great hall, up high in the minstrel's gallery, in the cosy bar by the fire or on the beautiful patio terrace.
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

                                                            I have been ill during the night so something I ate didn’t agree with me. The last time we ate here, the food was amazing. It might have been my bad choice, but this time, the food was like warm and disappointing. Not good value.

                                                            Excellent selection on the menu. Helpful and patient staff. Presentation of the food beautiful and the food itself delicious. Not cheap but very good value for a meal par excellence.

                                                            This is an outstanding place to eat. Friendly and attentive staff. Varied, creative menu. Very tasteful food. Great wines. Who needs anything else? 😇

                                                            We had excellent food in a beautiful setting. However, we asked for someone who knew the wine list and the person who helped us did not have any knowledge of wines and suggested a French wine which we subsequently discovered was a Shiraz varietal when we had requested dry and not fruity. It was disappointing to pay 65 pounds for a wine we did not like. Please hire a wine expert or serve a limited selection of wines which your servers (or menu) can adequately describe.

                                                            Very good food if a little pricey. Set menu could have been a bit more interesting. Salmon or calves livers wasn't very inspiring as the two main course options! Nice pub though, friendly staff, great location for us to meet up with friends.

                                                            Amazing food and have returned many times. As a family we have to deal with allergies (nut allergy and a coeliac) and the chef has always been able to accommodate us. 100% recommended
