Au Wharf, les murs sont imprégnés d'histoire. En effet, cet établissement présente une architecture dans le style des années 1790 avec des poutres et des colonnes en bois d'origine qui ont été carbonisées pendant la guerre civile. Depuis 1971, le Wharf, qui est installé dans la vieille ville, attire des clients qui reviennent dans cet établissement pour déguster son homard du Maine, ses crabes à carapace molle locaux et ses steaks primés. Le restaurant a été récemment rénové et le menu actualisé. Il comprend de nombreux produits de la mer contemporains ainsi que des créations traditionnelles de la baie de Chesapeake.

It was exactly what I expected-- thank you The Wharf! I wanted my out-of-town Father to get great Maryland style lump crab cakes, and that's what he got! I enjoyed my Chilean Sea Bass, and although my husband's soft shell crabs were not as good as we get on the Eastern Shore of MD, they were good enough. Nice wine list, nice cozy atmosphere. Our bill reflected around a $100 per person when all was said and done-- which is what I expected, considering we shared 1 app, 1 person got a cup of soup, each had an entrée (3 people), each had 1 alcoholic bev, & shared 1 dessert. I'd come back again if I had occasion to.

The food was really good. I had the stuffed flounder and my friend had the scallop risotto. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and the scallops were amazing. Both dishes were very rich and we didn't have room for dessert.

Best seafood I’ve had while living in DC. Everything I had was delicious - the crabcake, calamari, and seabass. Service was excellent too.

Will not return! We ate here on a Friday night, had reservations but the restaurant was not busy and now I know why. The food was dreadful! My meal, undercooked, greasy salmon with overcooked greasy brocollini and lumpy instant tasting mashed potatoes was so bad I could not eat it. Service was good and ambiance was ok but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Disappointed in our dinner at the Wharf.. We came for my birthday on a good recommendation.. The hostess first sat is at a table for 4 ( there were only 2 of us) which wouldnt have been a problem except she said you'll have to sit in these two seats because the ceiling in dripping on the other two!! I said I'm sorry I'm not paying good money for dinner to be sat at a table with dripping water! She grabbed the menus and sat is at another table unhappily! We ordered two salads and our entrees... Husband's salad came out wrong, then my entree came out wrong!!! My husband ordered the swordfish which hardly cooked through.... Can't say that I would recommend this restaurant

Our experience at the Wharf was Excellent! The food was delicious! Calamari and Stuffed Shrimp were especially great! Outdoor seating with music and the Service was top notch.
