The internationally acclaimed Whaling Station Steakhouse, perched just above Steinbeck’s Cannery Row has been Monterey County’s #1 Steak House for over 50 years, The Whaling Station takes the term “Steakhouse” seriously...Select your USDA Prime cut of the USA’s finest beef from a silver tray or enjoy our slow-roasted USDA Prime, Prime Rib. An award-winning wine list and full spirits bar compliment your dining experience. Serving Dinner and cocktails from 4:30pm daily. The Bar at The Whaling Station Steakhouse has its own menu and its own local following, with drink specials and lively conversation served nightly. Parking in our private lot.
A private, 50-seat banquet room is also available.

As always, the food and service was great. We have been going to the Whaling Station for about 50 years and the food and service has always been of the best quality. Their menu provides a number of choices if you're not up for a steak. I have eaten their scallops, sand dabs, lamb, and pastas. They are all excellent.

One of the best dinners I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday. We split two starters and a filet. It was enough food for the both of us and everything was excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Food was excellent. My husband had the sirloin and he said it was wonderful. I had the braised short ribs and they were very good. Service was terrific. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu.

I know this is a steak house but we both ordered salmon and the entire plate was delicious. The staff was super attentive, including the manager checking to see how we were enjoying our meal. Very nice service.

Made reservation weeks ago, and upon arrival the table was ready, and we got seated right away. Service was a OUTSTANDING, beyond all expectations. The service staff was attentive, friendly and personable. The food was plentiful and delicious. The Rib Eye as good as I ever had. If able we’ll go back in this trip
