Looking for a great steak dinner, we went here on recommendation from friends. The side dishes were pretty average and my husband’s cowboy steak was closer to medium than medium rare. My Beef Wellington was perfect. Our server was wonderful and really made our experience fun. They also have a great selection of wines available.

Very pricey given average taste of the dishes. No originality. On top of that, $40 corkage for a wine bottle!

They removed from the menu their best appetizer (short rib ravioli) within the last year, and now removed their best steak topper (Roquefort butter). The steaks and baked potatoes have gotten smaller but prices are higher than ever. Service is still excellent but the food has been disappointing the last couple visits.

Our server was excellent and has apparently been here for 50 years! Food was good but prices were high for portions. I’d asked about a smaller portion and they didn’t have one, but I’d love to see a lady cut or very petit filet on the menu for under $50. Te bar looked cool and I liked that they had college football on. I went this time with a friend and sat at a table. If I come back solo I’ll sit at bar and watch some sports. Perfect combo!

The wait staff is very attentive and kept our drinks filled, we’re knowledgeable on the menu, and very courteous. The chefs know their stuff when cooking steaks and the sides are very good. This place is great for special occasion like birthdays and anniversaries. The dress attire is relaxed but a pair of slacks and button up shirt won’t be out of place. Accommodations for kids are available. I look forward to my next visit.

Have been going to Whaling Station for years & it has continuously excellent.. All five of us enjoyed our meals. Service was impeccable. Salmon & fillet was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend!
