The Wave Kitchen & Bar, offers an ocean-front dining space with amazing views of the Atlantic. The restaurant offers a menu directly sourced from local farmers, fishermen and artisanal purveyors. The Wave concept was designed to offer a dining experience similar to what one would encounter at a hospitable and cozy dinner party at a friend’s home with generous attention to detail. The open kitchen and customizable selections aim to engage guests.The Wave will also feature select Cuban specialties developed by Costa’s owners, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, from their Estefan Kitchen cookbook.

The Estefan Kitchen

Served with White Rice, Black Beans and Sweet Plantains. In 1992, we had the opportunity to open our first restaurant, Larios on the Beach, on historic Ocean Drive, in Miami Beach. We did so in honor of my grandmother, Consuelo Garcia, who had made a wonderful career in food when she emigrated from Cuba to Miami, FL, in 1962. We also wanted to further promote our culture and heritage through our food as we had done with our music throughout the world. We brought family in. Although I was a little disappointed in that their dinner menu wasn’t available but the food was delicious. We had two hamburgers that were cooked too perfection and two Cuban sandwiches were wonderful. The black bean soup was marvelous. The gelato was very very good. The flan was marvelous and beautifully plated. .

We are here in January 2024 and again on January 19, 2025. We faced the same issues both times we were at Wave. The facility is very nice, with free and valet parking. We were seated a few minutes after our 6:30 reservation, but then we’re forgotten at our table. After about 20 minutes, I asked a server if anyone was assigned to our table. David rallied and became our server. While knowledgeable, he had too many tables assigned to him and his “assistant “ just disappeared. The food is very good, but the noise level is so high that you cannot have a conversation with your partner. The servers seem to have just too many tables to deal with. With so many other good restaurants in Vero Beach, I would recommend skipping Wave and trying some place else. We had a wonderful meal at The Restaurants at Madison Martinique the night before where the service was excellent.

Location,service quality of food was scrumptious!! It was busy therefore it was a bit loud but if that was the only problem it was a home run!! Our server was a delight.The signature drink was delicious!! We will be back!!!

Not much atmosphere and food is average. Paella rice was too moist, more like risotto. Not enough authentic flavor. Same for the ceviche. Just okay. Good for a drink and appetizer if you're in the neighborhood. Better dinner places abound.

We ordered ceviche to start, but was not impressed. It needed more salt and lacked more of a robust ceviche flavor, it was very bland. The black bean soup, was just regular black beans. Maybe some cilantro, bacon, more broth; something more to differentiate from a side dish to an actual soup. The steak was amazing, very tender and flavorful and it was served on a lava rock. The squash “pasta” was also very flavorful and delicious. We will give this place another try when staying at the resort.

Second visit in a couple weeks, first with friends this time for our anniversary. We love the sophisticated vibe, but friendly and casual. Dress up or not it’s a great feel. Food is delicious, the grilled octopus with chorizo may be the best we’ve ever had. The seafood tower for two was awesome even if the steamed clams were over cooked. Shrimp and oysters were a real winner. Their paella is delicious. David our server was great. We highly recommend Wave Kitchen & Bar.

Not authentic. If you’re Latin or Cuban this isn’t your spot. Beans were bland. Chimichurri sauce wasn’t made fresh. The octopus was fatty and chewy. I liked the ham croquettes.

We’ve stayed at the hotel and enjoyed dining here many times. Today the food was good and the server was very pleasant but it was very slow. 30 minutes to get a drink because there’s no bartender and the server had to prepare the drinks. Definitely tarnished our usual good experience. :(
