Chic. Modern. Sophisticated. But also casual and friendly. The Venue is the cool hot spot on El Paseo, popular with locals, out-of-town visitors and food critics who serve up rave reviews. The Venue is artful, from its sleek décor to the original, ever-evolving menu, enthusiastically created by owner/chef Engin Onural. "This is my art," he shares. "Each plate is a painting, but I use fish instead of paint."

    The sushi was delicious!!! The combination they put together are amazing. The potatoe crusties are a wow on the rolls.

    Mila our server was exceptional. She lead us down a culinary trail that was amazing. The food and Mila did not disappoint. Have been here many times and find it always very good.

    The sushi was outstanding and the service was was great! We sat outside and there were plenty of propane heaters and lighting.

    The location was very nice and the food good. They seemed to have trouble with their timing of the dishes being brought out and the server was a lacking in attention.

    Sushi was terrific. Server was busy so pacing was slow but attentive. Creative rolls and beautiful presentation. The specialty dishes were delicious and reasonably priced but the nigiri is more expensive than comparable options, noticeably so.

    Food was good once we got it. First they forgot our edemame appy then my meal the short rib dinner did not come out. Had to remind them it finally came after everyone was done eating. They did comp both for us. The first time we ate there last year was delicious but I don’t think I’ll be going back again.

    I like Venue. I wish they had Tito’s vodka like their Sandfish restaurant. Prices are expensive. Food is great and fresh!
