My wife and I get out once a month for date night if we're lucky. Read some of the reviews and asked for something a little more cozy you know, for conversation. They led us to the oyster room with 2-tops that were so close together I asked to be moved. I apologized to the couple next to us I didn't want to come across as being rude but I also didn't want to whisper all night. So the next best option without having to wait was the bar area. smh. Granted we sat at a high 4 top close to the entrance but wow. Pick any bar during a Ravens home game and it cant be louder than this room. To be fair, it being an old building the architecture created some sort of echo chamber. But Atlas might want to do something about the acoustics here. Our son is allergic so we were excited about any kind of seafood for our night out. We're not foodies, we don't take pictures of our meals but we've been around town. Food was ok. My wife is easier to please. We started with the mussels and roasted oysters. I've had better. My wife really enjoyed the rockfish. I was disappointed by the shrimp fra diavolo. I've never had it prepared in a sauce like this one Drinks seemed to be about an ounce or two less than most other places, but I understand these guys run a tight ship based on margins. Server was nice but super busy. We tipped to make up for us sitting at a 4 and not necessarily on service. Regretfully, I cancelled our reservation at Bluestone and chose hype but now I know.

We were glad we had a reservation when we arrived, as the lobby was crowded with folks waiting to be seated. When we were seated, we were surprised to find there were lots of open tables, they were just slow in seating people. Our table was a little odd. We were seated on the “porch” next to a row of open windows. On the other side of the window, on the “patio”!was another table. People sitting there could have been sitting with us. Three times during our meal, they seated people at that table and all three times, the people moved. We both had the same meal;!chicken skewers with a salad and we both thought it was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and reasonably attentive. It was a very pleasant meal

The Valley Inn consistently provides outstanding service that creates a wonderful dining experience. It is a regular recommendation for me.

This is a delicious lunch spot. We weren't hurried at all, and the staff was super competent and nice. The indoor "porch" area is much brighter and inviting than the darker inside.

Consistently good food, nice cocktails, limited wine list (lacking in European selections). Solid service - I recommend asking for dining room seating as opposed to the plastic-walled cacophonous patio room-EXTREMELY loud on a Saturday evening. the couple next to us had their food wrapped to go once it arrived because the of this, and luckily the host was accommodating / found us another table inside. The outdoors is great-cozy bar scene with heaters and a roaring real fire!

very slow and poor service. While the food is good and it’s a lot of fun dinner took hours, drink glasses left to empty. Service was awful.

First: I asked if the chicken tacos were spicy and was told they are not—untrue as the slaw and sauce are extremely spicy/hot. All I could eat was the chicken tenders. Second: the noise level prevented my friend and me from talking. A large and boisterous party was seated behind us causing us to cut short our visit. I don’t know how this can be corrected but maybe an area where there are only booths or tables for 4 people. Put large groups on the porch where tables are movable and can accommodate large noisy groups. I won’t be returning any time soon.
