Our entrees were outstanding: Haddock w Corn/Lobster chowder and the Swordfish with Lemon Risotto. We have returned to have them again and they were even better than we remembered. Fried Artichokes w. Goat Cheese is great too. Nice spot right across from the beach -- but you need a beach parking permit in the summer!

Always a great experience. As the summer winds down, its always nice to visit this soecial place with special food and spectacular views. We try to visit often and as full time residents we miss the Tides when they close the doors on a very wonderful part of GRB. My swordfish was cooked to perfection and the risotto can not be beat. My wife's salmon was a great match to her salad and Cosmo.... Service was excellent and while we were warned that food might be slower than normal we just relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere and the ambiance....never felt any delay.... Keep up the good work...... We will return......

Great food! Try the tuna poke...best ever! Ben and Stu at the bar were both friendly, attentive and fun.

Coming to Maine in September you have to be prepared to get a bit chilly. After sitting on the beach for a few hours I definitely was chilled. I changed then sat at the bar and had a bowl of their lobster soup, the only thing was there was only one tiny lobster claw in the entire bowl which was very disappointing. The bartender made a great drink. When it was time for my dinner reservation I was seated near a large party and also a table with young children. When I asked to be moved to the porch where there were typically tables of 2 and there was an open table available I was told the table was for someone else. I even asked did it matter that I was a guest at the hotel and it was suggested that I returned to the bar seat which I did. I felt rather put off being treated that way. The staff seemed exhausted. Many are doing double duty now that Labor Day has passed. The amenities for the beach are wonderful, chairs, towels, umbrellas and water are provided right on the beach. There is also a relationship with Hidden Pond allowing for access to their spa and pools, unfortunately no spa appointments were available when I attempted to make a reservation on line. My room is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It did have a balcony but there is little to no view, I wouldn’t rebook this room although I did like the amount of space it offered. Upon arrival I had to ask for someone to carry my bag upstairs, there is no elevator. Tea & coffee self service is available each morning. The outside front garden to enjoy a cocktail was very nice & the service was great. The beef skewers were fair but I wouldn’t order them again. Dinner the first night at the bar I had the swordfish which was very tasty and a large portion. It would be nice in the future if there were outside heaters and blankets for guests to enjoy while having a cocktail on the porch or in the garden. The building is old but the interior is well managed. Another plus are the bikes available for guests to use.

This was our second visit in two weeks, and the experience was equal to, or better than, the first. The Caesar salad to start was wonderful; different, creative, and delicious. The salmon and swordfish dishes were perfectly executed and timely served hot and tasty. And the cheesecake dessert was excellent. And a shout out to Ethan, who is among the best servers we have seen at any restaurant in the area, or in NYC, in recent years. Attentive without being intrusive and blessed with a a warm and friendly personality. All in all, a terrific experience, and we will definitely return for more in the future.

Nice spot on the beach. Salads, which should be the staple for adult dining at this type of venue, were pretty underwhelming. Very limited menu. I would not return, though, if you are in the area, it's the only real option.

Food was excellent. Seated near a speaker and the music was a bit loud. Waiter was not experienced and not familiar with menu. Had to ask for all the little things.

We arrived for a late dinner. The restaurant was starting to empty out. The waiter seemed annoyed that we ordered a salad, chowder, anda sharable plate (wings) rather than entrees. Then we were told they weren’t making the wings anymore that night so we switched it to the carbonara (which was a main entree). The salad was good as was the chowder but the serving size of the soup was quite small. The pasta was bland. Our server didn’t come by after our food was delivered to check on things. Our waters were never refilled. We weren’t asked if wanted another drink. It wasn’t busy so I don’t really know why the service was so poor. Overall, I think there are better places around town.
