    I had lunch at The Strand House today and it was fantastic! It was a beautiful sunny day and my table was right next to the windows overlooking a great view of the ocean, beach, and the Manhattan Beach Pier. The crab cakes were delicious and a perfect appetizer. My Blackened Shrimp Salad was equally tasty with an addictive tangy-spicy dressing— so good! I will definitely be back to enjoy the great food, nice ambience and outstanding service the next time I’m in Manhattan Beach. And, next time I’ll order their famous doughnuts for dessert!

    This is my favorite place in MHB! I come here whenever I’m in town. The food and the view is incredible!

    Very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Very crowded. My table for two was perpendicular to the ocean window - I faced the mirrored wall. Two tops are very close together. Service was OK - I couldn't order apps with drinks!? Server said we had to put the whole order in at once. I guess I get that policy in a high volume, busy restaurant - but still, I like to dine how I want. It's a cool spot - I just had a crappy table with just OK service. .

    I love the service and the atmosphere but unfortunately my fideo de mare seafood pasta came out cold and we waited an hour and a half for it. I’ll be back and hopefully this was just a one off so I can update this review. Service by anthony was great and we had a beautiful table outside looking at the ocean and Manhattan beach pier.

    Booked a reservation in advance and still had to wait for ~25 minutes. Annoyed me before sitting down for lunch

    This place is absolutely awesome for the view and location! Where it was a massive disappointment: the service and menu items. The Filet was beyond boring and tasteless. I eat at 100+ Steakhouses a year and this is in the bottom 1%. The steak was mediocre at best but yet $71… zero flavor, no salt, no pepper. And the potatoes were beyond boring. My wife’s eggplant was tasteless and boring. She couldn’t eat much of it. Then as I sat there and wanted to order an after dinner drink, I gave up after waiting 23 minutes. I then asked for my check and that took 14 more minutes. Zero tip, terrible service and I’ll never good back. I only have 1 bad experience a year in general, and I feel this is it.

    7pm reservation, but was not seated until 7:45. No real consideration there as we waited and were not told it would take 45 min (hence sit at the bar and hang vs stand in front as "table is almost ready"). Service was slow, albeit restaurant was busy. Waiter was nice, but the food I found to be a bit mediocre for the price
