Never had a bad experience here, I live about 1.5 hours away so always come for a treat, this time was my mother’s 79th Birthday. Sunday lunch was delicious as expected.

It was very busy when we arrived and were taken to a table in the bar for a drink. Once at our table we had to wait for a menu but once we had this the service from Katy was good, attentive but not too much and at the end of the meal she took more time to talk to us. The food was good, the sirloin steak especially so. We would definitely come back if we visit York again.

Fabulous food , if you want something special then this is your place . Fantastic service and the setting near the river was also amazing.

Amazing riverside location with friendly welcoming staff. They were so accommodating when I had to call last minute to move our lunch timings. Excellent food presentation. My only minor improvement is the food could have been a little hotter. The beef Sunday lunch was gorgeous with very impressive Yorkshire puds. The lime posset was beautiful sharp and refreshing.
