Beautiful weather and beautiful setting! The food and service were amazing and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Our favourite Sunday lunch ever. The best on York. Excellent place ,excellent food , excellent staff. 5star all round.

I think with this venue you are paying for the view. My wife and I had 2 sunday lunches and 2 drinks.£84. The lunches were average. for the standard of food we would expect to pay around £50 at best. As I said, the view from the deck was great but not £34 great. One of the reviews said " best Sunday lunch ever" I can only imagine their previous Sunday lunches. We went on the reccomendation of friends, but, they had the a la carte menu, so we can only pass an opinion on the Sunday lunch. The service and staff were really great.

Starters were great, mains were great. The deserts were awful, in particular the ‘cheesecake’. Failure to mention the fact it’s deconstructed and was essentially some slop on a plate. Massive cop out, don’t waste your money on a desert. The pilsner on draught was exceptional.

Lovely spot, nice decor and ambience. Friendly, efficient staff, but a little slow for intial service and drinks in between. This was a late lunch for us and a table of 4, so not a massive task, but is was very sunny and busy in York, therefore the restaurant. The food was excellent and not overpriced for such an establishment. Overall very good and would return. A 4.5 *, but the system doesn't allow me to register the .5.

Great spot for lunch before our sightseeing River cruise. I’m glad we had reservations it got very crowded!

Absolutely faultless food and best meal we had in york. I had wood pigeon to start with and north sea ling. Really impressed. We had a waitress Lumi who was incredible and totally on the ball. She was aware of every table cover and as soon as wine needed topping she was there. Very knowledgeable on the menu and made recommendations which were the perfect choice. Best service we've had in years and a credit to the restaurant.

Fantastic food and lovely setting. The staff were friendly and professional and had the balance perfect. What struck us was the attention to detail per course, sometimes desert can be a bit poor in some places but this place does each course very very well including desert. Will definitely be back

Lovely venue.. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day ! We got a table right at the front on the balcony , so could watch the boats arriving and departing and people enjoying the lovely sunshine.. The meal was lovely. The waitress service was excellent! My son bought me a voucher for my 80th birthday so it was a first visit for us.. Loved it ..
