Service was good, staff was great! Cocktails were delicious! My daughter ordered the mac & cheese and liked it very much, my husband ordered the Cobb salad and liked that as well. I ordered the cranberry pecan salad, and it was good overall; however, the chicken was overcooked and tough. The pears and pecans really brought out the flavor. More tender chicken would have made the salad excellent!

Lively restaurant within the Crossgates Mall development. Fun interior depicting Hollywood stars of yesteryear. We dined under the gaze of Audrey Hepburn. The menu is extensive and we started with crab cakes, one serving enough for two. We followed with large salads and shared a peanut butter and chocolate dessert which was delicious. Our waitress was nice but a bit over whelmed, having to also deal with a very large party. A male colleague who was very charming stepped in to help so we were not inconvenienced. Recommend - however on leaving we are certain we saw a mouse...

The Standard is my favorite Albany area restaurant. The food has always been prepared very well, and the service is always very good as well. We asked to be seated at one of Nick's tables as he always does a great job for us. Last evening was no exception. From the minute he greeted my friends and me, we were treated to the excellent service that Nick always provides. The quality of the food we had complemented the quality service provided by Nick. The Standard is an excellent dining establishment and I already look forward to my next outing there.

Had a reservation and had to wait for half hour for a table. My crab cake was uncooked in middle. Staff was very nice but one of the worst places I be ever been. They did not charge me for my meal but then again I didn’t eat it. I wasn’t taking a new order to bring to a hotel room. I feel manager should have come over but did not.

My date and I were very engrossed in our conversation, and the service was perfectly attuned to our needs. The food and drinks were excellent, they accommodated us reasonably beyond their last call, and they even politely kept the door open a few extra minutes as we overstayed their hours. I couldn't be more pleased with the evening.

We have enjoyed The Standard Restaurant since it opened (sometime after the Bugaboo closed.) The waitress was wonderful. She was helpful, personable, attentive but not hovering and her pacing was perfect! The Santa Fe Egg rolls were delicious, plentiful and came with a complimentary sauce. My wife enjoyed the Pete’s Special very much and was very impressed with the soup as well as the sandwich. Our family was celebrating our son’s birthday as well as his recent graduation from college (at his favorite restaurant. ) I was surprised that this was not even mentioned by anyone since I checked the appropriate boxes on the reservation form as well as in a message to the restaurant. I understand this can happen with messages not being forwarded. It has been awhile since I ordered the Crab cake BLT. It was the best in the area. Tonight’s CCBLT had much more filler, rather than crabmeat, than I remember. It used to be 90 percent crab meat. I believe that ratio has been reversed and the texture was not nearly as appealing. Although still tasty, with a warm-soft roll and generous amount of fries, honestly, it was disappointing. However, all the portion sizes were huge and each of us took food home. The Key lime martini is still the best in town! The prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and everyone was welcoming and polite!
