Experiece was perfect from the valet parking to the dessert. Daniel is a great waitperson and the petrale sole and the crab cakes were perfect, as was the tiramisu. It was a great window table without any glare, which was perfect with the foggy days we have been having.

While the views of the bay and city skyline are stunning our dinner experience was subpar. The restaurant was freezing cold in which we had to request to turn the heat up several times. The food is just mediocre at best. Service was good, but not great. Several tables in the dining room as set up as prep stations where employees fold napkins, etc. seems a bit odd to have customers see that while dining.

Anniversary lunch. We got there a little early and was lucky enough together a table at the window. Fog had lifted and the views are spectacular. The seafood grill and clam chowder was delicious. We come a few times a year and have never been disappointed. Our waiter Jose C. Was very attentive.

We are long time fans of the Spinnaker & decided to take our friends to the Spinnaker because they said they had not eaten there in a very long time. Since it is late December, we wanted to enjoy the views while we enjoyed drinks & conversation before dinner. I booked a 3:30PM reservation. We got a great table in the corner window. Wow! Pelicans, gorgeous light on the water, a couple seals in the water, made quite a show. We told our “extremely professional” waiter that we wanted to enjoy drinks & conversation for a while before we ordered food. He understood that we did not want to be rushed & he was fantastic. We had many important business topics to discuss and our waiter was sensitive not to interrupt our discussion. (I love it when a waiter stands nearby until we have finished our discussion.) 5 stars all around. Valet parking is always a good thing thing. Food is always wonderful! The Spinnaker is a Gem!!!!

We had dinner last Saturday night with a long standing reservation to watch the lighted boat parade. There was a power outage in Sausalito, and nearly every other restaurant was forced to close. The Spinnaker pulled off a great dinner under very challenging circumstances. It was an amazing performance by the kitchen staff and servers. All our food came out hot and tasting great.

This was a hard situation as they hadn’t had power for most of the day, decided to offer a reduced menu. All I get as a Sausalito event was happening and it’s a big revenue generator. What I don’t understand is other than real table tea lights, there was no other lighting so the waiters were using flashlights, frequently blinding customers. 3 other misses: 2 of the 3 appetizers (both for 1 companion) arrived, and 20 minutes later the last appetizer arrived and immediately the entrees were delivered. 1 of the appetizers was done, but the waiter refused to take it away. My fish was raw in the middle, food was barely warm (I sent it back). I don’t think we’ll be going back.

A group of my friends had a lovely lunch today at Spinnaker, which, of course, has a fabulous view. Our table was at the very end of the dining room looking at the water so it was fascinating watching the birds and the sailboats pass by. The food was delicious across the board. I loved my angel hair pasta with lots and lots of seafood. We especially appreciated how hot the food came out, even the french fries were fresh out of the fryer. Two ladies had the shrimp & crab Cobb salad, and it looked beautiful. Our waiter did a very good job and it wasn’t easy because the place was very full and besides our table of seven, there was a huge reunion at the table behind us of about 30 men. I’m not sure how he pulled it off, but they went through the courses from soup to dessert, and he delivered it all in a very timely fashion and we were not neglected at all. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious and the crème brûlée one of the best I’ve had. It is a very nice location and they have valet parking even at lunch and in a place like Sausalito where it’s hard to park, it is such a pleasure to be able to pull right up to the restaurant door, especially when it’s raining like it was today. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our time there.

We are regulars at the Spinnaker which is my 96 year old mother in law’s favorite place. The incredible service and location are unparalleled. The seafood is always fresh.
