This was a hard situation as they hadn’t had power for most of the day, decided to offer a reduced menu. All I get as a Sausalito event was happening and it’s a big revenue generator. What I don’t understand is other than real table tea lights, there was no other lighting so the waiters were using flashlights, frequently blinding customers. 3 other misses: 2 of the 3 appetizers (both for 1 companion) arrived, and 20 minutes later the last appetizer arrived and immediately the entrees were delivered. 1 of the appetizers was done, but the waiter refused to take it away. My fish was raw in the middle, food was barely warm (I sent it back). I don’t think we’ll be going back.

A group of my friends had a lovely lunch today at Spinnaker, which, of course, has a fabulous view. Our table was at the very end of the dining room looking at the water so it was fascinating watching the birds and the sailboats pass by. The food was delicious across the board. I loved my angel hair pasta with lots and lots of seafood. We especially appreciated how hot the food came out, even the french fries were fresh out of the fryer. Two ladies had the shrimp & crab Cobb salad, and it looked beautiful. Our waiter did a very good job and it wasn’t easy because the place was very full and besides our table of seven, there was a huge reunion at the table behind us of about 30 men. I’m not sure how he pulled it off, but they went through the courses from soup to dessert, and he delivered it all in a very timely fashion and we were not neglected at all. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious and the crème brûlée one of the best I’ve had. It is a very nice location and they have valet parking even at lunch and in a place like Sausalito where it’s hard to park, it is such a pleasure to be able to pull right up to the restaurant door, especially when it’s raining like it was today. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our time there.

We are regulars at the Spinnaker which is my 96 year old mother in law’s favorite place. The incredible service and location are unparalleled. The seafood is always fresh.

We’ve dined here numerous times and never had such a bad experience as we had last night. The restaurant was full of Christmas parties. We love celebrations and the excitement it can bring to the environment, but we don’t want to dine “with” the people partying. The table next to us were making crude and obscene jokes about women’s breasts and drinking heavily. Definitely ruined the vibe I had planned for my wife and I. I would’ve expected the host to perhaps warn us upfront that several parties were coming and going and that it would be a noisy evening prior to. I would think twice before coming here during the month of December.

The entire experience was so pleasant Our server Maya went out of her way to ensure we were well looked after. The view from the table at night was amazing watching the majestic heron and seals. We hadn't been to the Spinaker for some years but dear friends had recently dined there and encouraged us to book a table and we certainly glad we returned

The location is beautiful and very scenic. A gorgeous view of the SF Bay. The staff was great, the ambiance was nice. The restaurant appears to be older but that’s part of the charm. The restrooms were clean. I appreciate the valet service especially the day we went it happened to be raining. I ordered the steak and shrimp. I was disappointed in the meal the highlight was my baked potato. The rib eye steak had no flavor and was dry I ordered medium well with no red. The grilled shrimp were just okay also no flavor. I had to doctor it up my shrimp and steak with salt and pepper. Same for the shrimp. Added salt and pepper, and squeezed lemon juice on it. Too bad because it was my first time there and I was looking forward to it.

Spinnaker is a must do experience for anyone who loves the freshest seafood and wonderful attentive servers. Not to mention the views of the San Francisco skyline are unmatched.

The soup of the day was very good (split pea and ham) but the tomatoes on the Caprese Salad were tasteless, mushy and not really pleasant to eat. The pasta dish was very good and enjoyed by its recipient and the Half Avocado with Shrimp were just ridiculously large (our friend was local so could take the rest of her's home but the other was wasted. Desserts were both very good with the creme brulee being the stand out of the two desserts. Nice ambience and good views. Overall pleasant but not an outstanding meal.
