The kitchen and dining room were both short staffed which made the wait for our starters and food very, very long. The wait staff was very attentive and apologetic. We took our food to go and it was fabulous! The pork chop was tender and well cooked. Other that the wait for our food, the experience was very, very good!

I recently celebrated my mom’s birthday at Southern Gentleman with a party of seven, including two children, and it was an excellent experience. Our server was incredibly attentive, making sure the kids’ meals arrived quickly, which we really appreciated. The food was served hot and fresh, and the drinks were both flavorful and strong. While the overall wait time was a bit long—we were there for about three hours—we never felt rushed, which was a big plus. From the moment we walked in, the hostess made us feel welcome, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. Overall, great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere – perfect for special occasions!

The food was excellent despite the fact that it was 88° outside & the air nor fans were working adequately. Our girls party of 5 came in very late towards the end of brunch. The staff accommodated our last 2 guests by allowing us to place their order with the table even though they had not yet arrived & the timing was perfect. Our party of 5 was seated as the food was served. However, I ordered 3 things & they all came out together! Not good. But it was ALL GOOD!! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS The deviled eggs, the fried green tomatoes, the hush puppies, the brisket & egg, the shrimp & grits, the smoked salmon …..nary a complaint! Will definitely return when they get their HVAC situation resolved.

The shrimp & grits were possibly the best I’ve ever had, the braised short rib pot roast on my prior visit there was delicious. I don’t normally love hushpuppies, but theirs are amazing… totally worth the extra carbs.

Without exception, each employee was friendly, outgoing and seemed happy to be there. Our server was exceptional! My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays and she made us feel very special. Loved the food. When our fried green tomatoes were too spicy for us, no problem, we were given a different appetizer. Exceptional all around.

The food and ambiance was so nice! My husband ordered the ribeye dinner and it was cooked to perfection! I ordered the brisket meal and it was absolutely delicious! We appreciated how tentative and polite the staff was, we will definitely be returning!
