The Snooty Mehmaan is a refined contemporary Indian restaurant in the Oxford suburb of Faringdon.

Welcome to the Snooty Mehmaan! Previously the Snooty Fox, the Snooty Mehmaan now delivers the best in Indian & Thai food all expertly prepared by our award winning chef.

Our stylish and contemporary revamp of this former pub is able to accommodate a variety of functions including Weddings, Christenings, Business Meetings and friends/family get togethers.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Snooty Mehmaan for lunch or dinner. We serve our A La Carte menu daily. If you are Vegetarian or have special dietary needs please tell us and we will endeavour to offer you a wider choice of meals… During Sunday lunch we serve a delicious Indian buffet. (Please note we do not serve our full menu at Sunday lunch).

    We went for a special anniversary and the service and food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    Excellent room, comfortable bed, products good. The food was the best I have eaten outside the Indian subcontinent and the Southeast Asian portion of the menu was outstanding. While not cheap the food was good value . The staff were attentive and well trained. I will definitely return.

    We are always made to feel really welcome when we visit the restaurant. We had some great recommendations and delicious food. Good variety of drinks, great food, great service and really beautiful decoration. I am always very happy when I leave here and can’t wait to go back.

    Went 60 miles to try this Indian and it didn’t disappoint. Booked for our wedding anniversary and will definitely be back . Staff were so attentive food was incredible. We stayed in the hotel overnight too and were very impressed

    Lovely ambience, perfect for birthday celebrations. Good was amazing especially their penang curry!! Wow!! Will definitely be visiting again

    there is nothing to fault on food, service, value, noise volume, ambience and if you want to make the most of it all even fantastic boutique hotel rooms.A real treat

    Lovely meal. Great food and attentive service - a little too attentive perhaps - but maybe that’s just me wanting to enjoy my meal and soak up the ambiance. Would definitely return.

    This was our second visit to eat and stay, and there will be many more visits from us to follow. It’s was a special occasion so we stayed in the bridal suite this to me, the suite was fabulous and very luxurious. The evening meal certainly didn’t disappoint, there’s lots to choose from on the menu and the food is without doubt the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Breakfast was included in the package we booked and I highly recommend trying the Indian breakfast menu, although there’s also lots of other breakfasts available including waffles and vegetarian options. Lucky for us this restaurant will now be our local once we complete our relocation and the Sunday lunch is definitely the first Sunday lunches that we’ll have. I all most forgot to mention the great service that Syed and his team gave us again, it really is a wonderful experience to eat and stay there.
