We visited Smith on one of the hottest days in the city and they were having difficulty with air conditioning. They brought in extra unites everywhere and the staff went on in spite of what must have been a hotter work day than usual. The staff were attentive and helpful.

On a hot summer day, what better way to cool off and enjoy a delicious meal then stopping in at The Smith? Being one of five, I ordered the Cesar Salad and asked for the fresh chilled Shrimp to top it. It was perfect in every way. Crisp baby romaine with a touch of dressing . (I asked for more.) The shrimp were sumptuous and perfect with every bite. Our wait staff was friendly, attentive serving our food in a timely manner. Definitely a happy vibe and happy guests. I will be going back for more.

The air conditioner was out and they told us it would be resolved in a few minutes and the entire time we were there it was brutally hot and not enjoyable

Service and food were excellent; lack of air conditioning on a sweltering NYC afternoon took away from the overall experience.

Perfection! I had a delicious watermelon mocktail, while my spouse had a cucumber cocktail, then the salmon tartar appetizer, the chips with fondue snack were really really delicious! For the maincourse we had the mussels in a perfect chardonnay sauce, and the salmon with zucchini fritters. We skip dessert because thats how we do. We would highly recommend The Smith at Lincoln Center. Plan to try them all.

It was a good night, the service was awesome, I was outside and our server was lovely she was checking on us all the time. The food was very tasteful, my steak was wrong but everything else work out. The prices were good matching with a good sized The ambience, we were outside and it was fresh we didn’t have music but nothing too bad

Our server, Nikolai, was incredible. In addition to the excellent food, he made our experience. So friendly and professional, with just the right amount of interaction for excellent service. The sticky toffee dessert was out of this world. I also really enjoyed the avocado toast. Fresh-squeezed juice offerings is such a nice touch, and is a rarity these days.

Our server was lovely, and the food was good. I did find the pricing to be a bit high (particularly the pancakes), but for proximity to Lincoln Square, I suppose it isn’t surprising. My mock-spritz was yummy, and they use the “good” cherries and grenadine for the Shirley Temple.

Noise level was so loud myself and partner couldn’t hear each other across a two top. All the two top tables outside were ridiculously close to each other. Elbow to elbow with their person at the next table. The sun was blinding… our fault we sat outside but it was a nice day and we wanted to be out doors to enjoy the weather, surely The Smith know this and could invest in some shades, no? Appetisers were really good, the entrees were terrible. My short rib pasta was beyond salty, my partner had a chicken Caesar salad, the quantity of the chicken on the salad would amount to a tender. Both meals were way over priced as were the 2 mocktails we had. No server came to our table to check if our meals were ok and never asked why i didn’t eat my pasta when clearing the table. She was a nice waitress who was very busy and had a small on her face the whole time so we just slipped through the cracks and we didn’t want to mention it to her because we were kind of over it all anyway. Skipped dessert because we weren’t getting a further $40 into this bill when we weren’t enjoying the meal or the atmosphere. We won’t be back to this Smith location. I will stick to Cafe Fiorello’s next door from now on.
