It took the waitperson about seven minutes to even acknowledge us, but other than that, the experience and the food was amazing

The service was efficient and friendly. The cocktails and food were top notch. The sticky toffee pudding is not to be missed.

The Smith is so convenient to Lincoln Center...seems like a no brainer to eat there before curtain. The service is always good and the food is consistently good. When booked before curtain, expect some ear shattering acoustics. The noise level makes the subway at rush hour seem like a serene dream. Impossible to have any conversation. Not sure if we will be returning .

First time at this Smith location. We are regulars at the east village Smith. As usual the service food and value were excellent. We were seated in the rear room. The noise was deafening. I had to shout to speak to the person sitting next to me. We all left with our ears ringing. I will never go back there unless they do something about the acoustics. All Subway tile and tile floors. Need some rugs or sound insulation in the ceiling. An awful experience .

The salmon tartar, the pot of mussels, and the hazelnut ice cream were all excellent. The service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive.

(We were there with a birthday party & separately a screaming child past its bedtime, so it was a loud experience, BUT) our dinner was EXCEPTIONAL. We had several allergies at the table - and it meant the world to us that the manager came over to explain there were little red flags in the “safe food” items, confirming that Chef had clocked it was allergen-free. With a small child with allergies (& another person who had extreme gluten intolerance) this meant THE WORLD to us. And as a mother I was put to ease & so grateful. (As a minor suggestion perhaps green flags would be helpful, as the Red flag initially caused some confusion at our table - thinking red meant NO/Stop. But we caught on quickly enough.)
