Le restaurant The Six - Calabasas tire son nom de la Société des Six, un groupe d'artistes novateurs de Californie du Nord qui s'est distingué pendant la prohibition, dans les années 1920. Dans un chalet d'Oakland, connu sous le nom de Chow House, les six peintres très unis ont tenu des discussions enflammées sur l'état du monde de l'art, alimentées par des repas maison accompagnés de bière ainsi que de vin maison. La Société des Six et leur passion pour l'art, la nourriture ainsi que le vin sont la source d'inspiration du nouveau Six, un concept de restaurant américain rustique proposant des plats traditionnels sans prétention. Abordable, le Six accueille aussi bien les personnes seules et les familles que les repas d'affaires dans une ambiance de quartier chaleureuse.

We ate outside at 1:00 on a saturday. There were four diners inside and the two of us outside, thus it was very quiet. The waiter was terrific as we were far away from where he needed to go to get everything to bring to us. He was upbeat and accommodating despite the fact that, by the time we left, we were the only people in the place. My friend had the heirloom tomato flatbread and like that a lot. I had the waffle and sausage sliders which were a mixed bag. The sausage was very tasty and the top waffles were solid and the proper consistency but the bottom waffles were soggy and heavy. I knew it was a dish that might not work but I was intrigued by the combination. I would not order it again although I would go back to the restaurant

I thought the fare was very well thought out with a very diverse menu that is great for all patrons. The service was spot on and attentive while the vibe in the restaurant was very pleasant . I was surprised how well crafted the food was as every dish we ordered was spot on. The desserts were out of sight as we really didn't want dessert but we licked our plates.....amazing !! The restrooms need to be updated as they don't match the beatiful decor of the restaurant and bar but hopefully in time they will give those a facelift. Overall awesome experience !!

Good atmosphere, but in a strange location. Many restaurants have not made it there. Food and service were both good. Same with the cocktails.

I have been to The Six since they moved locations. The entire staff was just wonderful and the food was really good. Not one person at the table had anything bad to say about our entire experience! Will absolutely go again.
