Vous aimez le porc, le vin et la bière ? Après avoir créé l'Eddie V's, le Roaring Fork et le Hopdoddy, Larry Foles et Guy Villavosa vous présentent le Salty Sow. Ayant réuni leurs talents culinaires, les chefs Harold Marmulstein et Nox Ybarra ont pris les commandes de ce restaurant raffiné d'Austin proposant des plats élaborés de A à Z. Le Salty Sow sert une cuisine rustique moderne, alliant les nouvelles techniques de cuisine aux méthodes de l'Ancien Monde, comme le braisage, le pochage et les ragoûts. Les cocktails sont confectionnés à partir d'ingrédients frais du jardin ainsi que d'alcools locaux et bio. Fondé par des amoureux de cuisine de longue date, l'établissement accorde un soin particulier à la préparation de A à Z à la main de tous les plats.

Food and service were great. Layout was a bit quirky. Parking was annoying having to go back to my car to get my car license to enter into the parking app. At least I know this for next time.

All of the food we had was incredible. Drinks were good but definitely don’t try to order off the menu. I ordered a gin martini and it came with no garnish, was not well balanced and not served in a chilled glass. The disappointing part of our experience was the lack of execution when it came to dietary needs. The staff confirmed multiple times that they acknowledged one of us was a pescatarian. When it came time to order food, the server recommended a wedge salad but failed to ensure that the bacon was left off. The server came 5 minutes after our food was dropped off to warn about bacon being on the salad which was very odd considering he assured us he was aware off the dietary restrictions while we ordered food. That said, I was a little surprised that the server didn’t apologize and no manager came over to check on us after the mishap. Overall, the experience was fine but the food was really what shined.

Salty Sow's dinner selection and ambience are one-of-a-kind. If you get there a bit early their happy hour is bar none - and includes the bar. Every dish from beef shoulder with carrots and mashed potatoes to their signature duck egg fries is delicious. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Galentine's Girls' Night at Salty Sow! My friends and I had a wonderful evening at Salty Sow! From start to finish, everything was spot on—the food, the ambiance, and the service. We kicked things off with the deviled eggs, which were creamy, flavorful, and the perfect bite to start the meal. The BBQ brisket croquettes were a standout—crispy on the outside, tender and smoky on the inside, with just the right balance of richness. For dessert, we couldn't resist the bananas foster, and it did not disappoint! The caramelized bananas and creamy ice cream made for the perfect sweet ending. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a fun and relaxed girls' night out. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

It was very good food! However, the waiter charged us incorrect despite us mentioning what special we were interested in. Was clearly on purpose so be sure to check your bill

The Salty Sow was wonderful! Our server was fun and knowable. The food was amazing. The ambience was perfect for a date night. We will be back!
